i like .survival because everyone has access to it. we can all build together if we want, we can all pvp together if we want, we can all grief together if we want. a small area where you are almost certain to meet other players.
i find it a little fun to build in volcanoes(lava casts). i find it fun to re build and learn new methods of building to keep villagers safe from greifers. i love seeing all the fancy player builds. some players are amazing builders! i love seeing the protector players trying their hardest to keep places safe.
because .survival command is not necessary to point to an area near 0x 0z, maybe we can get it to be changed to 1km east? maybe 1 km north? this way players are far from the always loaded chunks. and far from the 0x 0z.
and i know "why don't i just not be lazy and walk 1km every time i want to build." well lots of players are under 50 years old and are lazy too just like me! so it significantly reduces the amount of new players who make the journey and then the players never get to see the post apotypical world. or the ever changing world.
However i do understand this may not be a good suggestion. maybe .survival command was created for some reason i am not smart enough to figure out.
enable, but if we are going ot disable things, lets disable shulker boxes so players have to use chest minecarts and chest boats
and disable elytras, so player have to build roads and railroads.
and disable teleportation
If you close your client and re open it, then it might work. at least when i get failed to verify username. i think Microsoft requires the mine craft game to be closed and re opened every 24 hours or so.
some times i have had to log out and log back in. in the minecraft launcher. but it has been 2 hours so maybe you have already tried these two things?
i do know some times mine craft authentication servers go down and then players cannot have their usernames verified. but i think that is a different error message.
I know in the past there was a rule to build past 1km from 0,0, my understanding it is because spawn was near 0,0.
I am wondering is it ok to build near 0,0 now?
There is also the no lava bucket protection near 0,0. which makes it harder for griefers to grief builds. so it gives a protection to builders from lava casts. so this might be un fair? but maybe this prevents too much ugly damage from being done?
I do not really know how acceptable it is for me to build near 0,0 and for me to invite others to build near 0,0, So I am wondering if it is ok?
edit:I did ask tez in game, and they suggested griefers can still use tnt. so i like that reasoning for building near 0,0 not being too unfair
if a mob dies near a sculk cataylyst and there is sculk near by, the sculk spreads.
I guess it has not been a problem and probably will refrain from ever being one. but i am worried. a player might be able to bring eggs and spawn chickens and kill them. to cause the sculk to spread i am not sure how far it would spread.
or the sheep and pigs that spawn in spawn may be breed and killed.
i guess i am not 100% certain how far sculk spreads or if it is an issue. and maybe it has been looked into and not an issue?
I think north america had internet problems.
oh i meant the pauses after a player teleport's when the map is being loaded. it is kind of cool, i do not know how true it is, but i think i can tell the size of a players base by how long the game freezes after someone types/teleports .home
I do like the idea too, a lot of players join thinking "vanillia" and get sad that there are commands and teleport's. I get sad about the pauses when players teleport.
but i think there was a hacking client that used "." for the hacking commands. so players needing to type .wild to leave spawn is a unexpected anti hacking. however i have not seen any players complain .wild does not work so maybe that hacking client is not common anymore.
Some of the server commands that used a "?" like joke? , time?, fact? thank you server. ,
have stopped working. I am not sure if this is intentional or not?
