I hear that, I just think it's cutting off more of an audience. I've met some super cool people who are way more comfortable talking in their own language. JMO, anyway.
I was banned within my first 5 minutes of joining CraftyMynes.
Fortunately, my appeal held up. xD
I think it was:
I was derping around at spawn and the server crashed. I rejoined and was banned. Please unban me.
(This was before Mojang patched the server crash issue in 1.8. Someone else must have decided to trigger a crash right as I joined)
I live in Baltimore, and I'm a huge fan of The Clash...so London Calling became Baltimore Calling.
I use this handle in every online game I play.
Genuinely curious...why the English only rule? I find that Europe has a huge MC fanbase and are comfortable talking in their own languages, without any real disruption to the ebb and flow of server chat.

Stopped by the other day to say hey. Just wanted to say: good work with the 1.9 spawn. I also really like the abbreviated CMD system. Much more simple than before.
The server is running much more lean and mean now. It has some of the normal vanilla Minecraft lag, but it's still very playable. I'm also a fan of the zero tolerance for hackers policy. Communities run much more smoothly when cheaters don't remain for long.
Nice work Crafty and team.
Thus ends my server review (and I'm not even from Planet Minecraft!)
