@Blackened_Dawn Im sorry, but you're telling me that you want us to trash 6 months of work just so you can get the collectables easier?
And absolutely not on the cheaper prices since they already exist, you just haven't bothered exploring.

You ask us to provide you with suggestions and this the response i get. What happened to,"We would love your continued feedback, ideas and support going forward and together we can achieve something great."
Where's the conversation? This is just a slap in the face. Why are you attacking me for making a suggestion as requested? You obviously don't want feed back, and after this post i will say nothing more about the casino.

I wasn't aware it took staff 6 months to make the 20 slot machines i suggest to be removed. However, my guess is perhaps under 10 players on the server even have the coins to get one of these collectables at this time.

I wasn't aware coins were being sold in the casino for 3-4 diamonds per coin. If, so it's a recent change. I'll go look now.

Edit: Ok, so took a trip to the casino. Yes, i see the price has recently changed to 4.5 diamonds per coin. I believe that is a much more reasonable price for the craftymynes community.

    @Nysic G'day Myners.

I've kept pretty quiet on this issue so far but I'm going to shed some light on the situation. The Casino recently after we released it has become a point of controversy, some people love it, some dislike it and some have no opinion one way or the other. This however is actually the 3rd Casino that that we have built.

The first one started back on the old server and never really took off. Once the update came that forced our hand with the new map it was lost to the ages along with all the systems that were developed for it. With the overhaul of how command blocks were done new systems had to be invented, thus we enter development of the second Casino.

The second Casino was started shortly after things were settled with the new map, along with discussions (hours and hours) of prizes, preventions for gaming the systems and implementation. Originally the concept was when you won a prize you would be teleported to a prize room with your winnings and select a prize. For this we faced a multitude of problems with abuse for which we tried many methods of prevention. After months of work along with design issues and potential exploits it was decided we'd start again.

So along came Casino version 3. This version of the Crafty Casino was simple in design, a big open area lots of games, tonnes of prizes and none of the issues that the second casino faces. Both Baron and Rnc poured alot of their free time into this casino along with many hours again of discussion for Vendors, prizes and the rest. By this point we are now 3 versions in and each has had a new command block overhaul.

So what we have eventually arrived at is a project a very very long time in the making. Expectations for a project this long in the making are naturally going to be quite high, leaving many people disappointed. This frustration is vented and the people who have been poured time into this project are naturally taken aback by it.

By no means are we saying it was a perfect release, things didn't work quite the way that was intended and we rushed to fix problems as we were made aware of them. I myself broke 5 of the slot machines within 2 hours of the casinos release pending changes. Spending a further 7 hours across the same day with my head buried in lines of commands. The next day the roulette machines were changed, causing unrest within our player base but again a nessecary change, as they too were not working as intending.

This all aside we do listen to you guys, we hear your concerns, your ideas, your griefs and feedback. We've run tests, engaged in discussions and arrived at various solutions for issues arising.

Even now construction is under way on the second floor of the Casino. New games are in development and command block design has already started.  There are an overwhelming ammount of ideas we would like to implement and we will try our hardest to achieve them. You'll also notice that spawn too is currently undergoing a revamp as well. All these things we are doing to continually improve your experience on the server.

We would love your continued feedback, ideas and support going forward and together we can achieve something great. If players wish to make a post about how upset they are, that's fine too, everyone is entitled to their opinion. I would simply ask that on top of the words of critism, maybe add some suggestions for improvement. You could even add some words of encouragement/appreciation to those spending countless hours working on this project and many others like it.

Wonderful response and write up. I think we can all agree that us the players within the Craftymynes community appreciate all the hard work and dedication that the staff puts into the server and our experience. And we can understand the frustration that staff members may feel towards those that offer criticism.

I've already made my concerns heard in another thread, by doing so i'm sure to have rubbed at least a few staff members the wrong way. Nothing new for me and i certainly do apologize if i angered anyone. However, at the risk more issues i'll propose that staff reduce the amount of slot machines down to 10 instead of 30. Have each slot machine with a admin weapon and change them up once a week as i believe is already occurring. This would allow at least a few players the opportunity of receiving an admin weapon as well as create more room on the first floor for more games. I would also suggest lowering the cost of buying craftycoins from the casino. Prior to the casino release i bought craftycoins at 1 diamond per coin. Through many various trades i gained a total of roughly 20 stacks of coins. I'm not suggesting the casino sell them for the same price, only that staff take this into consideration. I would suggest maybe 3 or 4 d per coin.

@CodyJProductions I think what this person means is that the activity on this server is meant to be based around everything multiplayer survival Minecraft - building, farming, pvping, working together, working in competition against one another, ect. I think the opinion @Laggy_GIF presents here is that the casino was meant as a small, fun activity to do when you want a break from the game of survival Minecraft, and not as a place to run to the red pressure plate, watch the guardian bounce around, see the result, then repeat over and over and over in order to gain wealth on the server.

I think the opinion presented in the post quoted above is a valid opinion, and should be thought about by all players upset with the recent change in the newborn Crafty Casino. It is one that I agree with, and a reason I think we should all appreciate the casino for what it is now, instead of demanding its old way of a grinding method that nearly guaranteed profit.

I have no problem with the updated changes made to the roulette machines. I certainly never meant to imply that "grinding" coins was what i cared about in the casino. In fact i really couldn't care less. I only mentioned the roulette machines in passing on my original post. I suppose that was what lost me in Laggy's comment since it really wasn't brought up and had so little to do with my concerns.

Apologies to Laggy for the misunderstanding.

@Laggy_GIF remember the server is a survival server not a casino, it would break the server if the main thing to do is grind the casino all day. the casino should just be a place to go when you vote not an hour session. anyway thats just my opinion

I'm completely lost on this comment. Please re-read my original post.

@BaronBattleBread The first floor of the casino was supposed to be fun- we didnt expect people to sit there and jump 500 times on a pressure plate that was obviously not giving them what they expected. But its also not meant to be packed constantly.

First- the roulette have been editited to a happy medium(if not done by now, then after i post this message) where you simply have to accept that you get lucky or you dont. thats why its a gamble.
The roulette was never meant to give you stacks upon stacks of craftycoins, it was put in as a way for people with a few coins to take a chance on getting a few more before they were done- but people abused it,
they did so while telling others to keep it secret and that more than anything, pissed me off.

The games aren't numbered, marked or contain any other indication of what their prizes are because we change them- any admin can walk in and edit them at any time- because its a gamble. Its for fun. Its not meant to make your game easy.

CraftyCoins arent meant to be cheap- The prices were decided on by studying the community, and seeing what people accepted as payment for CC. You don't walk into a casino and expect to buy 1,000 chips for 10$, so i dont know why people seem to think that we're gonna price craftycoins like dirt and sand.

As it stands, i cannot create a fair Jackpot system. i have been working on its devlopment for a long time now and it always come out the same- someone gets an advantage and i wont do that on purpose.
But i will continue to work on it, with help from the staff.

There are more floors to come- and they will be released as they are finished. there will be more ways to win coins, OP prizes and other as yet undiscoverd things.

So relax, take stock of yourself, and wonder why you didnt realise that after 100 coins or so the game wasnt the one you were looking for.

Remember people, Greed is never satisfied.
We do not do these things to satisfy the greedy, but to entertain.
Enjoy the casino as it comes, but to blame others for your opinion on what is wrong or right is neither fair nor becoming.

This is the response i expected. So be it. I would appreciate if you could keep the belittling condescending comments to a minimum though. I don't think this is necessary way to make the point you wish to convey. I'm entitled to my opinion. Whether you agree with it or not is up to you.

Walk into the casino, stand there and tell me how many players you see. My opinion is from a player perspective. It was meant to draw attention to problems i see in the casino.

@MixMasherPvp You sure? Did they say it themselves?

Yup, Baron told me and i also did my own experimentation. 500 or so coins down the drain for nothing.

So, after months and months of waiting we finally have a casino. Thank you for all the hard work staff, it was a wonderful place for a few days.

5 months or so of waiting, couple days of fun, and now it's dead.

I'm sure others have noticed, but the casino is now dead. No one visits anymore. A couple of days of fun and now no one has coins. No one can afford coins at 1 db per coin.

Forget the Roulette tables, you lose coins in the long run.

Forget the slot machines they changed the locations of the admin weapons. No one can afford to spend a stack of coins on average per slot machine to discover the locations. 30 slot machines times 64 coins, good luck. Do you have 1920 coins sitting your inventory? Or the 30 stacks of Diamond blocks to buy the needed coins.

So lets figure out how we will spend our coins. You gather 2 per day from voting. Do you spend them? Heck no, 2 coins will get you nothing. So lets says we wait and gather our coins, 32 days later we have a stack. Do we spend them heck no. They would be all spent on one or two slot machines maximum. A months voting to get what? Odds are nothing.

So what are we left with? A dead casino.

I assume this thread will be met with criticism and disdain. But it's reality.

I'm a reader of the future. So i'll let you in on what i see in the near future of this idea.

Player 1 makes a beautiful and time consuming build. And decides they wish to show others.
Player 1 invites some friends to see this build.
Player 1 or "friend" invites the wrong person to see this build.
This "wrong" person sells coords or invites other friends to come with lots of gifts (lava, tnt, etc)
Build is griefed and destroyed shortly there after.
You are left angry and wondering what is wrong with the world and people in it. Don't they appreciate all your hard work? The experienced players will say, "we told you so."

This will leave you thinking i'm pissed and i want everyone to hear my whining. You then make a fool of yourself on public chat and get banned shortly after.

Staff will never put any sort of protection on your build, or else they would have to do so for everyone. Which would completely change the dynamics of the server.

Only option. Make your creation. Post pics on the forum for us to ooh and aah. Take pleasure at the positive comments and take into consideration the negative. You can find these under Show and Tell threads.
