What is with everyone getting so far up in NN's face about this stuff? Why are they on the hot seat so much? Yes, they are going to make mistakes. All factions have made mistakes. All factions have let in people they shouldn't have. All factions have had moles. @alarmgv12 SC is no exception. Honestly, NN got their problem figured out quicker than we did. Do you know how many bases we lost? How many times we had to start over because a few weeks into building a raider magically knew where we were? I only joined SC after the reset a year ago and there are already too many raids for me to be okay with. That's without counting all the traitors, all the lost homes, all the hurt feelings, since the beginning of SC. In case you haven't noticed, SC has recently been declared dead by a lot of people for the main reason that so many raids in such quick succession has made members not want to build with us anymore. Members split up, started their own factions, because we couldn't handle it. Luckily, we eventually found the traitor, but not after many lost bases. And we're still recovering from all those hits, trying to re-establish ourselves.

And what's wrong with a community aspect to a faction? You guys throw hate at it but all it's doing is giving the community a place to have fun together, something that the community itself hasn't been pushing for very much recently. So what if they want to pull from that to find new members. It's not like you're forced to join NN if you join NNAT. You can say no. You can see it just as a fun thing for everyone to participate in, oblivious to whether you're in their faction or not.

And you got to give them a bit of credit for staying alive so long. SC, Harvestar, and Team Eye have been around for a very long time. Despite our ups and downs, we know how to survive on CM. We've learned what it takes to survive. We were determined to be in it for the long run and we powered through our problems to ensure our survival. Look at all the factions, the little ones, that announce themselves and then quickly die out. There are so many. NN isn't one of them. Despite being a newer faction (compared to the surviving older factions), they survived this long. That's a surprising feat for new factions on this server, and you gotta give them credit for staying alive.

Whether you like them or not, you can't ignore that they are trying. And as far as I'm concerned, they're not doing too bad a job.

Truly amazing. I'd love to visit just to see it in person and wander the streets of it.

Good luck to wherever you settle your town next. It's sad to see a great base turned into a memory, but now the future is open to even greater builds.

Did it seem like you actually teleported or did you just die? Like was there that quick loading screen or just insta death? Sometimes when you pearl, it's weird when you get to the other side, especially if there are blocks around the gateway teleport thing that mess up where you land. Maybe you lagged and fell off the gateway block and into the void instead of onto the natural platforms that are under them, but the lag didn't show you falling off the block, just the death? I used to use them a lot and that was always a fear I thought I would encounter, but never did.

    Crafty’s Tale
    Written by Dennari43

By troth, let it be heard,
    On oath of this decree:
Let this lost tale bring light
    To shadows as you read
    These truthful words now writ
    On cane and leather bound.
    Our blurry past within
    These pages will be found.
    You’ll see an awful tree,
    A family at odds
    Against a fated son
    Who’d overthrow the gods,
    And sought his father’s reign
    And fought at every turn.
    Now hear my story’s words
    And listen as you learn
    About Crafty’s exile,
    Sent to this foreign land
And how it came to be
    Through fearful father’s hand.

    Many know the old tale
Of how we came to be
    Through Chaos, eldest god,
    Creator of our tree.
    He formed the world, Gaia,
    Gave life to mother earth.
From her, she made the sky,
From both then came the birth,
    Unwanted it may seem,
    A cold generation
    That far preferred our fear
    Over veneration.
    Ouranos knew his fate,
    Overthrown by a child,
    And so suppressed each birth,
    Which turned their mother wild.
    In rage for her children,
    Gaia began to plot.
    She took her son Kronos,
    Evil in mind, she taught
    The Titan how to kill
And aimed him at the sky.
With a swing of his scythe,
    The children said goodbye
    To their fearful father
    As Kronos took the throne
And reigned as our knew king,
    Now evil to the bone.
But in his reign he feared
    A father’s fate was due
    And so began his plot
    Where evil all did brew.
    Upon his children’s birth,
Each one he took in hand,
    And swallowed one by one
    Each child just as planned.
    To see her children trapped,
    Their Titan mother raged
    And stole away her last,
    Her vengeful plot now staged.
    She took her youngest son
    And gave a stone instead
    To fool her husband’s eyes
    To think their child dead.
    And while their father sat
    Upon his throne unmatched,
    Each day Zeus grew stronger,
    And Rhea’s plan now hatched.
    Once mother’s son was strong
She brought him to the throne,
    He struck down old Kronos,
    The kingdom now his own.
And with the reign now his,
    He knew the cycle well,
And soon he’d meet his fate
    As father’s fate would tell.
    And yet he didn’t stop
Or end the tree right there,
    But with his queen, Metis,
    He made a godly swear
    That never would there be
    A son who’d overthrow,
    And that these godly fights
    Were ended long ago.
    The fighting had to stop,
And Zeus knew it too well
And so he swore no son
    From him would ever dwell.
And yet there came a day
    When Metis came in fear
And told Zeus of the news.
He knew his time was near.
Zeus came up with a plan,
    His promise he would hold
    And never have a son
    Repeat what time had told.
    He took his wife, Metis,
Asked her to change her shape.
And so she shrunk her size,
    Till smaller than a grape.
    His tiny wife he grabbed
    And swallowed her with care.
    He couldn’t have a son
    If Metis was not there.
Now with his wife in him,
Zeus came to feel at ease,
His wife and him now one
    Without anxieties.
Yet the tale does not end
    With Zeus without an heir.
    For Athena was born
    Despite King Zeus’ swear.
    Metis bore a daughter,
Out from his head she came,
    Her birth baffled the gods,
    Though this became her fame.
    However, Zeus feared not,
    For prophecy is strict.
    A son was needed here
    To cause all the conflict.
    So from that day forward,
Zeus reigned with care and love.
    His promise he did keep
    In heaven high above.
And here I end this tale,
The one that we’ve been told.
    To start another one,
That’s just as true and old.

This is the tale we know.
The one we know is true.
    Yet there is another,
    Known only by a few.
    Credit must be given
    To those where credit’s due.
    For Metis was quite bright,
A plan she well did brew.
    Metis was a titan,
    So little known, yet fact.
    Crafty intelligence
    Is what she never lacked.
When she learned of her son,
    She hid him far away
    So that Zeus wouldn’t learn
    About his fated day.
    It wasn’t long after
    When Metis learned the news
She was to have a girl,
And here did end the ruse.
    Zeus swallowed up his wife
    Just like the story told,
But it did not end here.
    There’s still more to unfold.
    Once Zeus and Metis joined
    To become of one mind,
Zeus learned of her true plot
And went off then to find
    This hidden son of his
    Without even a name,
    Whose future path would cause
More fear and death and shame.
    Zeus found the baby boy,
And in his heart he felt
A pang of guilt for him,
    On earth he barely dwelt.
    Zeus had a promise made.
He could not break his swear.
    This fated son was death
To Zeus if he stayed there.
His wife’s quick brains now his,
He thought up a new plan,
The boy could not stay there
    To grow into a man.
    King Zeus’ heart was big,
Too large to kill his heir,
    And so he sought Chaos
For help he made a prayer.
    He begged the ancient god
    To make another land
    Too far away from earth,
    But beauteous and grand.
    A world unlike our own,
    Where his son would reside.
He’d have his own throne there
And rule his world with pride.
    And even if he learned
    About his native birth,
    He never could return.
He had been banned from earth.
    The ancient god agreed
    And with his godly hand,
He took up a new star
And formed this boy’s new land.
Now with a world made new,
A throne his son could claim,
    He said all his goodbyes
And chose for him his name.
    Born from his mother’s wits,
    So crafty, wise, and smart,
    He gave Crafty his love
    And blessed his little heart.
    And with Chaos’ word,
He took the boy in flight,
And placed him in his world
To craft and build and fight.
And as the years went by,
    He mastered all he knew
And ruled with pride and care,
    A god he’d grown into.

And now we’re here at last
And I speak of this tale,
Which to my best is true
    To every small detail.
The gods are good and kind,
    Yet veiled in secrecy.
I gift you all this tale
    To teach our history.
And now it is your job
To tell the world to come
    And hear about your tale
    Where Crafty first came from.

May the gods of CraftyMynes bless you in your travels.

@SharpSerac i heard "let's add some options" not "here are some possible options: ..." so she didn't really contribute to a solution there.

"here we have the log arena, and over here we have the no log arena"

The 1v1 arena was literally your idea. XD And you're complaint is about too much logging. I proposed an idea that would reduce logging. That's considered a solution. Just because it's not as aggressive as you wanted and instead avoids the punishment tactic you want doesn't mean it's a bad idea.

Also I feel as tho if the 1v1 arena became a thing, we'd see less logging. Most people log because someone they didn't expect to see in a fight enters the arena. If they were allowed their 1v1 they wanted without interference, there might be less logging. Granted, this won't solve all logging situations, but I think it could minimize the amount of logging.

I've seen this same discussion many times and the results are always the same. Nothing much changes. You know why? Because most of the people who play on this server aren't interested in the aggressive sort of pvp you enjoy. Again, you are a small percentage of a massive community and the server accommodates the masses. We aren't neglecting pvpers, but it isn't right to anger the majority just to appease a singular group. I'm not trying to start a fight, and none of this is personally addressed towards you, so I don't want to be roped into a fight of personality. These are just the facts, and as much as it seems unfair to you, it's for the best for the community as a whole.

@SharpSerac here's a tip: if you have a shit connection, don't go in the pvp arena. it's that simple.

That ostracizes a lot of people, some of whom are pvpers who "thrive off their shit connections." The pvp arena is supposed to be a controlled environment for people to choose to pvp. Anyone has a right to be in there, bad connection or not. We can't seclude people because they can't connect that well to the server all the time.

@AttackTeam I could get down behind this idea, it has good potential to be a an experiment. It could also be a bit larger possibly with some walls and some elevated platforms to give ranged players who use bows and potions more often a bit of a tactical option.

ooo I like that idea, cause my main strategy if i'm ever fighting is with a bow, which is pointless if there is no way to get range on the opponent. Plus it would throw in some environmental strategy, encouraging players to use their surroundings to help them in battle.

Even tho I don't partake in pvp, I like the idea of betting without fear of being scammed or bets being withdrawn before the fight ends if the person thinks their player is losing.

Plus, it would make it easier to have a casual fight between friends without fear of aggressive pvpers interrupting the fun.

@HaloNest It would be wrong if it had more than one parkour area in my opinion, and same for the arena.

They would drag away players from playing survival.

Maybe make the 1v1 arena a vip arena, so it isn't fully open to everyone, but is more like an added perk of vip and up.
