I know from my experience if you build large no one will bother griefing.
You'd have to be very sad to try spend all that time to tear down my build, would take days.
I recommend speed 2 pots myself, it's faster than an elytra generally unless you are real good and not expensive.
It's a minecraft forum I don't see any real reason to allow different avatars.
As title states server is down, it's currently been worked on.
Actual cause is unknown at this moment and we have no proper ETA.

@TheForgotten20 did you know downloaing a texture pack can let the other know ur coords or give a virus if they have ulterior intents?
Downloading a resource pack can not give your coords away, as they cannot contain executable code.
Like any file on the internet the pack may contain a virus which could with effort be used to obtain your coords.
That said the likelihood of the website of a youtuber containing a virus designed to steal coords are low to nil.
Unfortunately there is no evidence attached so I can do nothing but watch in future.
Please try get some in the form of screenshots if you can in future.

@spydragon the only way i have ever seen that happen is when you glitch the game and join two servers at once (one at day time and one at night) and the sky glitches between night and day. not the desired affect but i think its the only way to do it. i have had it happen to me a few times but its hard to reproduce
It's simply not possible in vanilla which brings me back to my original post.
Even mods can't really do it, bukkit does have something that sets the client to day but not the server. Even then it isn't true day or night.
@spydragon if this is what you think your wrong click the link.
Ah you changed it since i Iast looked.
This is a bad idea anyway since night is good for many players, who want increased mob rates etc. We shouldn't let one player just decide it shouldn't be night.
