This is solely for building pretty things, all plots will be located next to eachother at a preset location. Probably right beside the VIP lounge.

Every single Item will be cleared upon entry and Upon exit meaning there will be no effect on the server as a whole.
Enderchests will not be available in the area either.

It is not P2W. Nor will there be any possible way to affect the outside server. It would be essentially its own world.

Thats exactly the problem though.
Even just the grinder gives you a huge advantage over everyone else. Imagine I paid to bring over my God apples I spent so long grinding. It wouldn't really be fair despite the fact I spent years acquiring them.

Its frustrating however that just part of SMP nothing will last forever.
Everyone is losing something whether it be items, bases or even votes and PvP stats.

The one concession I would make is bases like Sknup or Christianalpha's which are purely astetic and don't confer any advantage over anyone else.

I think this would be a very good way to encourage VIP+ monthly donations.
A 19x19 publicly accessible plot in which they can build stuff.

Although there would need to be restriction on what blocks are used.
For example nothing more expensive that quartz.

I think if this where to happen, there should be a grace period say a week before the bases were put in.
This would prevent people with OP bases dominating the early race for resources.

Still I think 1.9 full restart is definitely the best option in the intrest of fairness. It would hardly be fair if people can copy across grinders iron farms and auto crop farms. To then start using while everyone else is in iron armour, struggling to feed themselves.

Plenty of people will want to play 1.8 too since so many people dislike 1.9 and we will attract players from other servers wanting 1.8.

Its not just because we have started 1.9.
The fact is, our map is very corrupted and large and it simply cant be carried over.

Its not feasible for staff to copy hundreds of bases over to the new map without it taking a long time during which the server would need to be down and we would never get it finished. Following which we would need to take the server down everytime someone asked for their base or only end up copying half the server players bases making it even less fair.

Itd also destroy the economy with the Gapples stockpiled and ruin the end fight.

Believe me, i know about your pain, I wont be able to carry over my dragon egg, my base, my 4 stacks of gapples and 6, stacks of diamond blocks.
Id love to have these on the new map but it isnt feasible and or fair.

Baron is making the trades now and im sure he will take into account players opinions.
However i dont think it will be released before the server opens

Its not really practical to do so.
Its also supposed to be vanilla survival so admin coordinated official events would hardly be fair on offline players from different timezones and would interfere with the purity of the game.
Ultimately anything goes beyond spawn bridges more or less, its the job of the players to grab the resources thye need before someone else does.

It wouldnt be fair on new players then.
The server would start and people would already be at the end game with stacks of gapples and sets.
Alongside kickass bases with grinders and facilities to dominate the server and the economy.
