If Cutebot is a good friend of yours and he isn't know for betraying friend, and wblaine didn't do it which I'm assuming he wouldn't do seeing having nieghbors alive is more valuable than invading them, All I can really think of is that either Quartz_King did or someone tried to frame them but what would be the motive for that?
