@ardoasms that's why i specified my situation rather than saying "uhh it works fine for me". It also seems to work fine for many people around the world as ive spoken to people in Italy, Germany, Portugal, and Malaysia with no issues with understanding on either end. One possible cause of the understanding issue is that Discord may have automatically set their volume too low, which can be fixed by right clicking then name and adjusting that person's volume on your end. There are also ways to make Discord easier to run with a weak connection to it by simply reducing the bitrate which is done by clicking the little gear by the server name and moving a slide bar thing.

Hm werid. It could have been my connection tho. I have good internet but its pretty unstable and I need to reset it often. I live in the Netherlands and everytime I connect to the Discord voice channels on the CraftyMynes server I have a ping of around 175 ms. And I saw this everytime I connect. I also tried Discord with my friend and chose the server in Amsterdam and then it worked perfectly.

Like r4 said, the voice channels will lag for people that are not in the US. I was once on Discord with Dawn and I couldn't hear her at all. And with TeamSpeak I don't have any trouble.
