In 1.9 Enchanted Golden Apples will only be obtainable as loot in rare chests, as far as I'm aware. We could make them available as a villager trade in spawn, but we could also just make them only available as rare loot in chests in keeping with vanilla minecraft. The suggestion I made in my trading proposal was to replace the enchanted golden apple trade with an unenchanted golden apple trade.
Eagerly looking forward to the new 1.9 server. When you have a date. I will make arrangements for any time off from work I want to take :)
Outside of pure vanilla servers there's all kinds of modifications that can be slipped in for performance, and I have yet to see these changes well documented. For instance, it's really frustrating to discover that certain kinds of block updates have been disabled for performance and that many redstone circuits won't work as a result.
On the other hand I've had friends who were discouraged by the lack of standard /home /spawn commands, or the inventory ghosting lag. So, I would be all for it if Craftymynes wants to make a non vanilla server in the future. Especially if there is some well documented mods to make the experience new and interesting, while still maintaining the level of quality that I appreciate on Craftymynes.

The thread for 1.9 related updates on the old forum isn't loading for me. Do we need to make one on the new forum instead?
What if the owner isn't around a lot. My base got greifed : (
Moving the mobs to the nether is an interesting idea.
Option for sprinting in all directions (SP ONLY)
@GibsonAxe I believe the option for sprinting in all directions is single player only.
Sprint Toggle key
@Blackened_Dawn the toggle is different from the ctrl key in that you can tap it once to activate sprint mode (and release) and then tap it again to disable sprint mode. You're correct that it's not needed, so I'm fine with your decision.
On a separate note, if staff are going to deny any mod that gives an advantage and also deny any mod that isn't needed then staff shouldn't invite people to suggest mods as they will all be denied.
@Blackened_Dawn I hope you take this in the best way possible. I want to give you some feedback. Your responses in this thread have come across as condescending. I took the time to carefully read what Nysic wrote prior to posting my suggestion, particularly the part that invited players to suggest modifications that they would like approved. Thus, I was aware of what Nysic said including the parts that you quoted and paraphrased. I hope that I've not angered you by asking approval for the better sprinting mod. That was not my intention.
Any mod that gives you an advantage over other players are not allowed and will result in a ban.
Also you don't need the better sprint mod.
That's exactly why I suggested it. If it gave an advantage then clearly it would not have been approved.
@Blackened_Dawn I don't understand your response.
