A faction that peaked around June, contained former admin LoNeWoLF and player shvex, made a lot of people quit through their aggressive antics.

Oolfa covers all the points well; but the only time armour breaks really is during gapple fights, and gapples have been changed so that they don't give insane amounts of regen, instead it's like a regen2 pot. (and also made much rarer), so I'm open to the addition.

Definitely 1.9.
I'll revisit 1.8 on the occasion, but I don't see any point.
I'm sure the vast majority (90-95%+) will go to the 1.9 server.

soviet; you could allow other currencies like beacons, gold, iron and god apples to be accepted so that people don't feel so restricted (could use others, those are just suggestions) and potentially make the prices malleable towards the Red Army's standing with said person. In addition, maybe reduce the core price to 750 or something similar.
I personally don't think real money trading is healthy in any game system, but if you have to that's the approach I would take.
