The trip is a square around the 200k by 200k world, leaving me with 800k blocks to travel. The goal is to do this entire journey on "foot" (meaning only using regular running, horses, boats, etc. I do currently plan on using elytra at all.)
I'll try to post screenshots of interesting things I find as I go! So far I've found some items from someone who died trying to go across the border (they had diamonds, a diamond sword and pick, and more!). Found some interesting places as well, such as an ice spikes biome leading into the border, as well as villages going through the border.
This trip will take a long time, and will be included on my channel as an ongoing project. Here are some screenshots from the trip!
Note: Small "journal" entries can be found with most images. The entries are attached to posts further down in this thread, if you care to read them.
@OtherGreenGamer Legitimately like the thumbnail look.
Sweet! Thanks for the input! I think a simpler style is easier on the eyes and more attractive.
Episode 32 has arrived... new thumbnail style as well (:
Great idea here! Trust is hard to come by, don't accept people unless you know them very well. Good luck!
*has no idea what was messed up*
I'm thankful for all birbs. They give me motivation to live each and every day. Chickens are the greatest birb in existence and I hope to someday be a chicken.
In all seriousness, though, I'm so thankful for @MoonMidnight . She and I met quite a long time ago on another server. We made a video together about me being "tested" to see if I could join her faction, and after that video we became fast friends. Now I can't imagine life without her. She legitimately makes every day worth living, even with my mental disorders, even though I have bad days, even when things aren't going well. I can always talk to her and she will do whatever it takes to help me, and I do the same for her. She's absolutely gorgeous and so, so loving. I don't deserve to have her in my life, but I'm unbelievably thankful that she is.
@R4iscool1 Appeal much Simpler way is to just report it to staff, I've found it's rarely an issue we encounter.
@Dennari43 It is an interesting idea, but why do something convoluted and possibly impossible when there's a simple and easy solution we already have. If people are getting scammed, report them, it's against the rules. If you choose not to report scammers, you cannot blame the system for you, yourself, choosing not to abide by it.
@GibsonAxe If the right pay isn't given or the trade is off in any way just ask the player for the correct amount,if they refuse report them. We've dealt with such incidents before its not so bad :P
I guess making it "foolproof" with commands would be sort of nice, but I really don't see the problem with the current system. We almost never have scam situations, and when there are scams, they are quickly and easily dealt with.
Speak up if someone shorts you, and you'll be fine.
@TimeKing297 The only thing is what if you trade not the right amount by accident
Then the person who didn't get the full pay asks for the rest and you agree. If you don't agree, they can report ya.
Yeah, the base market is a good one, depending on your building skills.
There is a problem, though.
@bgmg Tell me what you think and if this market can actually work as the player does not take any risk in buying a brand new base !
There is indeed risk involved, especially when one STARTS selling bases, because no one knows if they can trust you or not. Since you (the seller) know where that base is located, it would be easy to sell a base, then wait a month or so and loot the place, collecting anything the buyer had stored there.
Trust comes with time, though, and eventually people will recognize you as someone who keeps their word. I know @humfrydog has created and sold marvelous bases in the past and worked up a great reputation; perhaps he'd be a good person to talk to about selling bases. (:
A curious idea... Seems as if you're almost asking for people to blow the island of the water, but the concept behind it is quite interesting, and what happens to the place would be interesting to monitor.
