Your alternate price of emeralds is intriguing and infers you are in the market for them. Do you have plans to have a direct trade to take in emeralds for diamonds?
@Cellexya Overpriced depends on buyer, real money holds much more value than any in game currency
And that value of RL currency depends on the seller, my dear :). What we buy is time saved. My time to play games is very limited. What would be the price of 3 coffees could save me hours of sitting on the comp trying to gather resources (usually dying a lot instead though).
Wow I really like how those suspension bridges look with the use of the iron bars.
@CraftyMyner Sure, but it would likely be a MVP perk.
After re-reviewing the ranks at the store, it would appear my question was based on the MVP perks (pets, stands, heads), all along. So this answer is great and meets the intent of my original question. Thanks!
Sorry, what's MVP in terms of CM ranks?
Instead of getting the noAI pets and mob heads, Is it possible to trade an item with an equivalent admin-generated item with lore of our choice? I'd rather have a custom item that's also not going to raise my entity counts.
Since placing the mob heads and no IA pets require the involvement of an admin anyway, there doesn't appear to be much more work on the admin's side, and we're talking about lore, so no additional advantage to the player. Also adds one more perk for VIP+.
@gilbertboys This would also result in a lot less people asking "how to get to the wilderness"
On the flip side, if implemented, some players may start asking if there's a communal spawn to go to for stuff. I don't think there's any escaping the fact that newbies can really be newbies. But at least having them see Spawn is a full disclosure of its services and what CM offers.
I personally explored Spawn before deciding to stay. Had I not seen it, my first impression could've been totally different. And I know I'd be a little miffed when I'd find out later that there was a library, trading post, parkour, etc etc I had access to the whole time.
Spawn is one of the things that defines CM. It's good they have it as the first thing newbies see when coming in imo.
A link I think may be helpful:
How to remove dead network paths (ghost links)
Given what you described, your computers are linked through the network through file sharing. Remote Desktop access actually lets you manipulate the destination pc usually through a screen share, streamed between the two computers - you'd have to likely have downloaded a 3rd party tool or bought a specific software package for both machines to attempt this.
If you're just popping in and viewing/editing folders in file explorer from your laptop, you're just using the file sharing feature (available feature on standard PC software). If that sounds more like what you're seeing, I think it's just a matter of r-clicking over the network folder, open sharing, advanced, and stop sharing (going off my memory but I'm sure you get the idea).
Bottom line is that remote access and file sharing are two separate things. Termination of the remote access doesn't kill file access made through file sharing.
