@GibsonAxe Once a nether portal is created the link between the worlds is created so if someone was to make a portal within the range of yours in the nether it will link to the 1 u made, even if its inactive therefore the high risk.
This is the second thread that I read stating that nether portals are permanently linked to a portal, active or not. Can you explain this? Is it to portals or the locations of portals (if you moved/removed it)?
The wiki says after 60 seconds the cached destination disappears if it goes inactive, but I don't know what that means in context to what you're saying.
@ardoasms The reason you never see people around spawn is because thats where the full diamond seal clubbers hunt.
Good writing is a dying art. This caught me completely off guard as I read through this thread. I literally choked on my coffee at my desk laughing at the absurdity and accuracy of the mental image this conjured. Well done.
In truth I work more in here than I play, and it's great for both.
Savage.
And do ppl just decide it's time to find someone's coordinates and up and get them? All you guys make it seem so easy to find a base.
Looks like you guys had some fun! Any additional details to share? I'm curious about who else from Team Eye came to the defense. I guess I'm half-hoping it was more than KingJrod. Something about the idea of one player from them coming in to single handedly repel you guys is a little scary, but not shocking.
Also, I'm a little surprised to hear this coming from the Harvestar guild. I thought your charter forbade raiding as well as griefing. Plus, revealing coordinates is akin to griefing so you kinda broke both both your rules. Not that I care one way or the other, but I do like consistency in organizations... Makes things more predictable.
Achiever: 53%
Explorer: 73%
Griefer: 33%
Socializer: 40%
Not sure if the questionnaire makes a difference between PvP and griefing.
@Blackened_Dawn Some say he's near water
Thanks!! This post quickly turned into something greater than my silly needs and I was about to turn my back on it. :D
@BaronBattleBread First, i owe you nothing- i neither took them from you nor personally caused your loss.
Second, you can thank your fellow players for the removal of ender pearls in various areas, because they couldn't understand "Hey, don't glitch through the walls, the floors or the ceilings" of designated areas.
Its not that the things in the containment area are dangerous, they are mostly individually built sections that are either not yet finished, in testing or are simply put out there because there was no place for them in spawn, like the VIP area and we'd rather not people get stuck in them. break parts or obtain things unfairly when we're not looking.
So if you feel like complaining, complain to the people that forced our hand in the first place.
I know :). The whole scenario gave me chuckle I just thought I was so clever when I thought to try an ender pearl and laughed when I realized of the safety put in. I think I would've been counted as those players getting somewhere I shouldn't be, as I had plans to get into an off limits area to look for the vendor. It's just an awareness post for everyone though.
More to the initial question though, where is that pumpkin vendor?
More of a light-hearted post, but I wanted to say I was trying to find the fabled pumpkin vendor I saw only once, weeks earlier (where did he go btw?). Anyways, I went down to the water at Spawn and where I think I saw him, but he wasn't there, but noticed the back door ajar at his counter.
Thinking myself clever, I went to the vendor to purchase a bunch of nether pearls to get back there to look for him. About 16 emeralds later at the vendor, they disappear from my inventory! Thinking lag, I kept buying up the pearls but they vanished again, this time while I was holding them!
I concluded someone clever-er made a command that cleared them from our inventories preemptively probably for this scenario.
Well played, but you now owe me 32 emeralds. I'll take them or their diamond equivalent as my reimbursement. Oh and get rid of the nether pearls as a trade option. Thanks :)
Why join a vanilla server and use hacks? Why get indignant when caught with hacks after knowing you shouldn't be using it?
@I_am_Zoom Ps I love how everyone on the server is practically your squad and they all look out for the guy who doesn't know how to forgive
The rules have always been no second chance for cheaters. To use cheats is a conscious decision that shows you don't care about their rules. They would be "bad staff" if they didn't enforce it.
They don't take crap cause they can't micromanage everyone's drama. Don't get emotional when you're treated equally. You should be flattered any of the staff still tries to explain things to you now.
He's running this server with no expectation of a tangible return on his time and effort from the players. Yet he's constantly working to earn and keep our loyalty.
@I_am_Zoom Anyways, my point is, I don't care about this server, just like a lot of the others. I make a ban appeal on every server I get banned from.
Your point was, you've done enough to get banned on multiple servers because you can't take a hint on how to play well with others on SMP? Yet you're upset you don't get more chances. Why are you posting to complain about it here and now?
I was hoping to find a good ban appeal post before bed. Thanks for the cheap laugh.
