have you ever donated? (i think i remember your name green at one point) cause if not you lend my point strength, sure you stayed but you didn't donate and deffinetly didn't donate multiple times(going off the assumption you didn't donate of course)

i work second shift with my new job which is why im not on as often anymore but i do get on though usually when there is little to no staff(or players for that matter). i speak from my own experience and from what ive seen over the past 2 years is that new players come and go but very few stay and fewer donate, meanwhile old players leave after nearly every change or reset or sometimes just bc they are sick of the community as it is(its gotten much worse imo) i joined back in november of 2014 just about a month after the server went up.

exactly what i'm saying. im not doing much but ill do what i can. call it civil disobedience. if it makes staffs job harder or more stressful then oh well they can get over it since new players are so important. and im not breaking any rules since pvp is allowed so i dont want to hear any shit for me doing it.

there isn't any. i'm not mad i'm fed up. if crafty wants to shovel shit down our throats then imma puke it back in his face. he says new players are vital to keeping the server running and thats a total load so im gonna kill any and all new players. this on its own wont do much as most would have quit at some point anyway. but im sure they will complain to staff so they can enjoy the headache as i enjoy being told bs and told to say thank you for it.

yeah yeah same old bs of "gotta keep our rank" here is an idea maybe stop screwing any and all players who want to be on the server long term who donate and vote daily bc they enjoy the server. you know what having bunches of new players does? next to nothing. according to your stats only about 1/2 of players make it out of spawn, of those how many come back the next day? what about how many end up becoming long term players and how many fewer are still here? if i had to throw out a guess i'd say excluding staff there's less than 5 people who still play on here that did when i first joined. it's just ridiculous as far as im concerned that you could really think that a constant influx of new players will be A. sustainable (you're targeting a specific audience which is finite and will run out or at least will reach such low levels it may as well have run out.) B. that it actually helps in any significant way. these new players do nothing but take up slots on the server, if you have the stats then id love to hear em whether im mistaken or not. how many new players donate? how many donate more than just once for vip or vip+ and then either end up leaving or never donate again?

In other words im sick of the bs and will stand for it no more. if your precious new players are so important then after the reset your gonna be disappointed as im making it my mission to raid and greif every new player who joins till they quit.

first off i would like to say that i love this server and the people in the community both staff and players. this news hits me pretty hard bc of the number of times i've heard it, usually followed (later) by staff telling everyone that "we aren't planning to reset and if we do it won't be for awhile" i hear that line all the time and yet it's not been true not once. now i get that crafty has little to no say in this reset and it's more of just an unfortunate necessity but im troubled none the less. since we reset for 1.9 i mined over 91,000 obsidian which makes up my base. on 1.8 before the reset caused by some a-hole in a manner i'm not fully informed on, i had mined 37,000 obsidian and was starting to enjoy building with it. note: this was my first MC server ever and the only one to date. after the reset i set about finding a spot for my new base, this took awhile but eventually i settled into a mountain crater and set about building my base, i decided i would one up my previous base by making it similar in size but made of all obsidian with lava between layers of varying thickness, this base was sadly never completed and consisted of over 75k obsidian. so now after hearing of the next impending reset having mined a grand total of over 203k obsidian i have decided i will not be building out of obsidian at all after the reset, or at all for that matter. i will be attempting to change my playstyle and will be more pvp oriented mostly focusing on raiding and griefing. i will not nor do i suggest anyone bother building anything as it will be destroyed/deleted and probably sooner than staff would like you to think.

@Naidae Y'know... this irks me, and I'm not even staff. Real, living, breathing individuals with LIVES have spent 6 months (guys, that's half a fricken' year) working on a project for US to use. I mean, maybe it's just me, but it feels beyond insulting to complain about something that was done for our benefit. I see people complaining that it's too realistic and that just blows my mind. The casino wasn't built as a "get rich quick" system; it's supposed to be used to get a few random gifts as thank you's to our dedication to the server (by playing and voting). I just cannot believe some of the backlash that is happening in regards to this project.

You have to admit, without a TPA system, most players would quit. I don't understand how having a TPA system affects the survival aspect that much in the game. It's almost necessary to have for multiple people that base together, and to make any real progress in the game. I will agree that the Nether Roof TPA is way OP but I also like that it is a feature made available to those who donate--it seems only fair to have a few perks for putting money into the server.

my main problem with the casino has nothing to do with the items it gives so much as it's basically the same thing as the vote slots. it has nothing to do with the items it gives or "get rich quick" it's that i've been waiting a long time and i am disappointed so far that's all. now as for the tpa does not affect the survival aspect that much in the game. i strongly disagree, for me it damn near kills it entirely. its not necessary in any way for people to base together or to make real progress in the game. people did it for over a year on CM before the tp came to be, it's just laziness imo. people cry about having to walk 20,30,40,50,60,70,80,90,100k to get to their base mate but that's why it's worth it for me, bc i made a long journey to get to live with this person and it's an investment of my time so the rewards are all the better for me, i currently live with someone and even though we have a tpa now i made them walk bc for me if they aren't willing to make that effort then they aren't worth my time and effort. the journey requires you to survive, find or bring food, fight mobs, etc. that's what survival is in minecraft so to skip that part entirely is to skip most of the survival aspect of the game. now moving on to the nether roof part. it's not just the nether roof tp i dislike, it's that people are allowed to use the nether roof for travel at all. i know this opinion isn't one alot of people share but its still my opinion. to get on the nether roof (assuming you're not a vip or vip+) you have to exploit a glitch, an aspect of gaming i dislike with a passion. exploiting glitches is tantamount to cheating for me and i can't stand it(yes i'm the type of gamer who never cheats, never uses mods, etc.) the nether roof is the only glitch allowed to be exploited and that also really irks me. so far like i said before the only reason the tpa system is around is because of popular request and that's fine and all but it really suck if you're not one of the people who share that opinion. what's more is people then tell you that if you don't like it nobody's forcing you to stay like that's a solution to your problem. i don't want to leave and beyond that even if i did, it's a popular opinion elsewhere as well if not everywhere and i'm left with the options of no longer playing minecraft multiplayer, making my own server, dealing with it and playing anyway. out of those options the only remotely appealing(or possible for that matter) is dealing with it and i still don't like that option. i don't want to stop playing minecraft at all i love the game and this server and its community, i can't even start my own server i barely have the money to support my living expenses and have a little left over for myself and even then i don't always have that extra. besides the money part i dont have the technically know how to properly run one. so i deal with it and give my opinion on what frustrates me when i can. also idk whether the complaining part was directed at me or not but i said in my above post that i'm not trying to complain i'm just giving my honest opinion about things that's all i do appreciate all the work that went into the casino and more so the server itself but that doesn't change how i feel about things.
