@Captain_Mitchell Well then let's get a mod online to assist us.
If that were to happen, the server wouldn't be vanilla anymore. Which is a problem for a server that claims 100% Vanilla.
@FlashFood Your definition of proof is far different than mine. Seeing something is a eyewitness testimony of it. Why someone would lie, or even pay off someone, about something like this is beyond me. If you want to say I'm lying fine. I just don't like cheating. Its plain and simple. If you want to defend someone cheating, that is your choice.
okay, so say I don't like JoJo. JoJo kills me in pvp. My best friend is in the server with me, and I get him to say that JoJo killed me illegally. Suddenly, joJo gets banned for playing legit, because the staff took my word for it. See how that doesn't work? I'll say it again, I AM NOT SAYING YOU'RE LYING. I don't like cheaters either, but this isn't a courtroom. Having an eyewitness isn't really saying much. I'm going to stop replying, before this gets ugly. I'll let the mods have at it.
@FlashFood My proof if the 3 other people who sat and watched him do it.
That's fine and dandy, but anyone could pay anyone to say anything. I'm not saying you're lying or anything like that. Don't get me wrong. I'm just saying that anyone can say anything, but there's no proof, so unless staff wants to take your word for it, and the other's that saw it happen, I'm not sure anything's gonna come of it.
Without proof, I don't know if staff will be able to do anything about it. While it IS in the rules;
"Ender Pearl or chorus fruit glitching is not allowed in spawn - If you are found using ender pearls or chorus fruit for glitching into the pvp arena or gaining an advantage in the parkour, you will be banned for 3-7 days. If caught again you may receive a permanent ban."
Staff generally needs proof to actually take action. Otherwise, I could just say someone cheated because I was salty they killed me.
Boats do that too, if a player rides in on a boat/horse from out of the render distance of another player, it makes them fly, and the boat just ghost rides. It's dumb.
I was in the arena because people were fighting, and I like watching people pvp. I noticed he was a bit fast, and I saw him "jump" rather high a few times, so I jumped in to get proof of him cheating. Weather he was flying or not, I don't know. I don't have proof of that. What I DO have, is proof of him speedhacking.
Skip to 1:30 and watch till 1:40 for the main point, it was so laggy that I couldn't get any more footage of him doing it. Sorry the video is so long, I didn't wanna die, and I had a non-stop flood of people trying to kill me.
Kinda looks like one of the buildings in GTA 5 xD
Looks good tho
@BaronBattleBread Once and for all- these are the staff agreed upon rules discussed over the past year and constantly monitored, but so little used lately they have been forgotten by players
1. random TP killing is bannable. if you jump in to a random TP with someone you did not agree to TP with, and you kill them, you will be banned. EIther one of you, self defense or not.
all instances will be investigated to the fullest possible extent. n2. Convincing someone to TPA to you, and then killing them is bannable. YOu are not allowed to cororce someone into a trap.
3. If you accept the agreement for a TPA, and you get killed by the person TPing to you, that is not a bannable offense. Meaning, yes, you can get someone to trust you, tp to them and raid them without consequence. - just mind the killing spam.
players breaking trust pacts is a part of the game, and you have the option to refuse acceptance. These are the standard TP rules. Staff have, and will continue, to look at TPkilling on a case by case basis.
Thank you, Baron. This is just the response I was looking for. Have a good day, everyone.
@Blackened_Dawn TPA killing is not bannable, since the player clicks "accept". They have the option to refuse.
Random tp killing is bannable.
That's what I thought, but I wasn't sure. I'd like another staff members opinion on the matter too, if you don't mind. I just want to be 100% certain that I'm not gonna get rekt in the future.
@argonFiles I believe that it's 10 minutes after a tpa for kills to be legal, but my info could be outdated.
See, this is why I'm unsure. On one hand, I have a staff member saying it's bannable, but on the other, I have staff members and regular players saying it's not. I prefer this way of raiding tbh, as It's easier to win trust than run 100k blocks in all directions to find someone's base. and I'd prefer not to get banned over something that is painfully unclear.
