If we're actually gonna go down this route, I believe the EULA prohibits a direct exchange of money for in-game items (e.g. selling a godset + tools, or X amount of diamond blocks for $15 or whatever), and since the staff doesn't advertise what's in the crate I believe it's okay. Crates are supposed to be a fun thing and in many ways a bonus to anyone who feels invested enough in the server to donate anyway.

If I'm incorrect please let me know, I don't like spreading misinformation

Just feel it's important to make sure everyone has the correct information, from chatter on the server today I think most people only read the initial post by crafty and not his update

@CraftyMyner I have had some time to rethink this decision, stopping eggs from being able to be placed in spawners now will not fix the economy, however, I don't want next month's egg to be able to be placed in a spawner. Going back on my original statement, eggs will still be able to be placed in spawners, just not next month's egg.

from the future of spawn eggs thread, he changed his mind

First of all, I currently am the shulker market. The instant I lost an infinite source of shells the price would get jacked up to at least 1 diamond block per shell (2 diamond blocks per box) until someone proves to me that they can be obtained in the end fast enough that they could sell at cheaper prices and have it be sustainable. This would be necessary for me to ensure I'd never run out of boxes for myself, because although I currently have a decent stockpile, players will always want more shulker boxes so I'd be forced to raise my price to disincentivise them buying everything I have. Effectively, I would instantly be by far the wealthiest player on the server. It wouldn't even be close.

Edit: To be clear this is NOT something I want. I believe gaining wealth should require a significant amount of effort and skill rather than dumb luck surrounding server rule changes

@Cileklim remove shulker eggs/spawners and give those players something else in return

I imagine players that bought vip+ just for the shulker egg would be devastated by this. Also, it would only further break the economy as players with a stockpile of shells would see their value instantly increase 1000% or more. I personally would trash all the shells/boxes I have stockpiled if asked, but I doubt others would do the same, and it would be an absolute nightmare for higher staff members to track down

An entire revamp is probably not necessary, but it's always possible to be improved. For example, I'd love a section that takes advantage of shulker boxes expanding to be 1.5 high when opened. Players might either have to hold a box open until right before they jump, or maybe have to jump to a box and open it in the air how they land (not sure how to implement the second option, but the first one is certainly doable)

Also I forgot to add, I've spent a stupid amount of time explaining how my grinder works for anyone that wants to make their own, and even provided the video of my grinder in action. Practically everyone working on a grinder now is using a modified version of my design. I would've gotten more business by simply staying quiet and letting 90% of other people's grinders fail miserably
