Well first off I've never download like Wu*** or any other client specifcally designed for hacking.
I did test some mods in 1.8 on a single player world, and had my own personal mod pack, one of the mods was an xray sorta mod. It didn't work at all lol as I recall it didn't change the game at all and didn't provide xray at all, i think i need like another mod or something to go with it. I haven't downloaded any mods of any sorts since 1.8.

There it is. No optifine but a texture pack on. I dont believe the texture pack affected anything.

That is a great tip! I searched over hours of minecraft videos just to find that tip. If you have optifine check out the feature that makes a torch light up when you hold it. I just discovered it today.
