But there are factors that may affect that, I mean, if I don't find a End City before my Elytra goes out,well, I'd be free falling to the void. I think that a flying machine is the best one (If you get a design that can work well with lag without you falling from it) bc it is infinite. I will try that out though.

Believe me if you have an ub3 elytra you will have plenty of time to find islands. They are like 1k-3k apart(the ones with end cities and stuff). You can also bring an enderchest and get your combat stuff to grind xp while on an island. With this method you can find all the elytras or enderdragon heads that you want :)

@misterkickman kinda wrong, if someone tried to put together all of there server's maps the could but that would take probably years.

Be careful who you sell them to. Maps can be used to track the location of the art and grief it.
