yes but they can guard most of the time and catch grievers
i recommend myself as guard since im trustworthy
the main foes of the yard is blackfish_ and teameye and new players stealing from the yard. if someone is cauht the whole army could be assembld quickly due to skelton horses spawning around spawn and anyfoes can quickly be taken down. for payment, some iron will do(diamonds will do too),

you can hire guards from people you trust

well have redwool above to hide it and lava to distort the name tag

it would be cool if you had a "disaster room" that requires a redstone password to access and that it could drop gravel at the entrance if the base was raided, and the room would be several obby layers thick, emergency gear can be stored there, including a 3 way switch base destruction switch (i can help you with this one) and enuff food to tp out to spawn

but this would be super risky and instead of tnt arrows will do fine, i can make it rapid fire.
