Well with /fill you can fill an area or block with cubes (including air blocks)

@MrStupendous I know, but sometimes I feel like the new comers are at an extreme disadvantage.

Using the ender chest at the trading post can be a good option to save your stuff safely while always having acces to it, this is of cousres if you can't get an enderchest alone. At first you might need to be nomadic, and gather resources until you are equipped enough to get 40k+ (What I consider "safe")

@CraftyMyner I like how they still think it's the admins whitelisting the server and if they login fast enough, they could crash it. Little do they know, it's automated any they can't bypass it.

So, when it detects too many people entering the server it whitelists it?

Ok, Staff is awesome, they are always thinking on ideas to make the server better, I don't think there would be a better Staff for CraftyMynes, they will always listen to you (If you haven't done anything in the past) and they'll be there to help you out. I think that people complaining about the stuff that staff makes is like missapreciating their job, when everything staff does is to improve our game, no to break it.
