It's beautiful! The pants-less armor stands are an interesting touch.
400,000 blocks removed
16,000 black concrete which is
2000 ink sacs.
74,448 blocks of glass smelted
4136 Red dye
5170 Pink dye
And it’s not as cool as I hoped it would be, but it’s cool enough to brag about on the forums.
It started as just a 100 by 100 hole (beacon range) but when it was done, I thought Mines of Moria would be a cool look. It just never became as cool as my head thought it should be. Some pictures were before I added lights, which had an eerier look, but you couldn't really make it out when it was screenshotted. I like to add a monster roaming between the pillars, or a dragon head coming out of the ceiling fog, but I am not an artist and just haven't come up with something that looks good.
Thanks for checking it out!
I'm pretty sure there is a scandalous picture Pimpcy drew of Crafty and Server, how does Prox feel about that?
The world is ending again, seems like fishing at spawn is the only way to go out. This was a good map, I'll see you all in 1.14!
Cheers
So I can't claim credit for this masterpiece of a build, but when I random tp'd to it, I was so shocked by the block choices I knew I needed to share it with the world. Definitely a bold choice of blocks, but in the end I think it really came together. Definitely the most expensive noob hut, I have ever seen.
Amazing! The white concrete alone must have sucked to make.
This is gorgeous! And I know just how annoying it is to work with black concrete.
@humfrydog Lol this is a fantastic suggestion except it is already the case, the glow at the bottom is layered:
Lava
Air
Orange Glass
Red Glass
Orange
Red
Orange
Red
Red
Which was it's own nightmare. I will admit there are no pistons but its so hard to make out the lava through the glass that I think it might nullify the effect. I thought about using some yellow glass towards the center of the circle, but in my test world it just looked cheesy and obvious what I was trying.
Dug a hole to to planet core! Or at least that is what I wanted it to look like, didn't come out quite as cool as I had hoped but it at least makes a good floor for my new base. I will NEVER build with black concrete ever again...
I needed to move on after the raid so I built this a temp base, but it was such a pain to build it will probably end up being the center of my new place. It is my best attempt to copy Starbug from the TV show Red Dwarf, one of my favorites. This build is all my design which is why the proportions are a little off and the detail is lacking, but it was SUPPOSED to be a quick temp base. I will try to improve it as I go. Also forgive the Elytra pictures, my flying skills are lacking.
Thanks for checking it out!
