@_Confederacy_ I can set up an easy spawn protection system. (Crafty might do something different) This might have a few code mistakes as I haven't done commands in a long time.
This command should be active at all times:
/gamemode @a[r=200,team=Spawnpoint] 2So should this one:
/execute @a[r=200,team!=Admin] ~ ~ ~ /scoreboard teams join SpawnpointNow everyone but admins wherever these are placed are put on team Spawnpoint, which is in adventure mode.
Change the color of the name (grey) with this:
/scoreboard teams option Spawnpoint color gray
This way would not work at all with the system I have setup, however, I can place square, round or any shape imaginable, protection for all, all but staff or a few players or just one player, I can have protection in any dimension, I can protect an area from just griefing and/or pvp. The limitations are, players can still interact with blocks, access chests, push buttons and use glitches to send flying machines into the area. As far as protecting something like an end grinder, it would be easy. The issue is that players might complain that I'm picking and choosing who to protect. Someone makes a build and asks for it to be protected, but I say no to it, we get the argument that "why does johnny get his shit protected and not me".
So technical limitations are non-existent, the issue is how do we implement it so that it's fair for everyone.
Are you not able to connect to the ts?
@TheForgotten20 wow....smart ones, rlly liked the udp one does this server us udp?
Minecraft is TCP
You were banned because you X-Rayed on another account and you were provoking staff with your comments. As far as the gnome and keemstar thing goes, it was a misunderstanding, my name happens to be alex (we thought it was referring to me, as it was followed up by "<INVlSIBLE> Fun Fact: Everyone with a name a different color from white is super sensitive!"). You have been unbanned.
@TheForgotten20 Hey crafty, can you explain some of thhe harder server plz jokes such as the halloween one and the 101010 1000011111 ones?
Why is it that programmers always confuse Halloween with Christmas? Because 31 OCT == 25 DEC
"==" is the is equals comparison commonly found in programming languages.
OCT == October == Octal or Base8
DEC == December == Decimal or Base10
31 in Base8 is the same as 25 in Base10
The play on words lies in the similarity of the abbreviation for October/Octal and December/Decimal, and the coincidence that both equal the same amount.
What did one computer say to the other? 01101000 01100101 01111001
If you take the decimal value of "01101000 01100101 01111001" you get "104 101 121" then if you take the ASCII value of that you get "h e y" or "hey"
I would tell you a UDP joke, but im not sure if you would get it.
In networking there is 2 main protocols, TCP and UDP, TCP is built to provide some reliability in sending messages from one computer to another, making it's best attempt to make sure it gets to the other end, if it doesn't receive the packet, it may make an attempt to resend the packet. UDP provides no guarantee that the packet will make it to the other end, it's built for speed where it doesn't matter if a few packets get dropped. The joke is that UDP may or may not make it to the person receiving the joke.
A VPN is software level, it should be able to get you past blocking that is happening on your wifi.
You can use something like https://www.tunnelbear.com or https://www.privatetunnel.com/
@CodyJProductions Crafty,
(Haven't looked through the entire chain yet, apologies if this has already been asked) Do you think the server has changed your life at all? If so, how? What do you think would be different if you didn't own the best vanilla Minecraft server to exist in the 4.5 billion years this planet has been around?
This server has changed my life in more ways then one. It has made me friends, taught me management and organization, expanded my knowledge of computers and networking, over all it's made me a better more responsible person. If I didn't own this server I have no idea what I would be doing, also there would be about 200k people that would not have been blessed with the pleasure of playing on CraftyMynes.
You can try direct IP: 103.59.161.18 or VPN
also check your dns settings, you can use googles public dns servers on 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4, you may also need to flush your computers dns cache
