@OtherGreenGamer However much I like the idea, it has the potential to really mess up the economy. Because any John/Jane Doe with 9 diamonds could go from nobody to rich. This is a problem because people who work for their profit via business or otherwise could work for months and still not have even half the amount that this random won for just being lucky.

That is why I also put limits on how many can be given out, in the past lottery, if I had given out 100% of the items entered, some random person would have received about 3000 diamonds.

@JKELLER4000 so i wanted to show hey i have not killed anyone on the server yet.

so i types "kills?"

and the server responded

"jkeller4000 has kills "

now this made me sad because the player was like see the server says you have kills :(

it would actually be cool if with zero kills you you have the server say something different like "jkeller4000 is a passive fist"

but having "0" insterted for the number would work also. but i spent some time with computer programming and would get stuck in infinte loops if i started counting down from zero instead of one. so maybe zero is not used for a specific reason that i do not know about?

tl:dr; please teach the server how to use "zero, so people can know i have yet to kill anyone!

@Valgys Totally agree on this point. I guess I shouldn't be surprised you took the time to think of the ways to mitigate the risks to the economy already.

This lottery is something that I have been thinking about for a long time and just recently have the time to implement.

@_Confederacy_ Why the maximum payout? If 300 people gamble 5DB the winner should take all 1500DB...

That's just my point of view though.

Because someone running around with 1500 dblocks is economy breaking and puts all the power into one person. If it was going to give they full payout, it would have to be distributed across at least a few players.

Also, the tickets are all stored digitally so there's not really something that could be used in a slot machine or something that was in game.
