I was a new player too, at some point, you were a new player as well. You're literally going to throw a tantrum and ruin other people's game just so you can get back at staff? Or prove a point? Whatever your anger fueled reason, it's a kick at Crafty and the server.

@LogantheCaveman yeah yeah same old bs of "gotta keep our rank" here is an idea maybe stop screwing any and all players who want to be on the server long term who donate and vote daily bc they enjoy the server. you know what having bunches of new players does? next to nothing. according to your stats only about 1/2 of players make it out of spawn, of those how many come back the next day? what about how many end up becoming long term players and how many fewer are still here? if i had to throw out a guess i'd say excluding staff there's less than 5 people who still play on here that did when i first joined. it's just ridiculous as far as im concerned that you could really think that a constant influx of new players will be A. sustainable (you're targeting a specific audience which is finite and will run out or at least will reach such low levels it may as well have run out.) B. that it actually helps in any significant way. these new players do nothing but take up slots on the server, if you have the stats then id love to hear em whether im mistaken or not. how many new players donate? how many donate more than just once for vip or vip+ and then either end up leaving or never donate again?

In other words im sick of the bs and will stand for it no more. if your precious new players are so important then after the reset your gonna be disappointed as im making it my mission to raid and greif every new player who joins till they quit.

Wow dude. Why so much anger towards CraftyMynes?

If we make the common currency something other than a common valuable in vanilla gameplay, and establish shops to spend that currency at instead of trading with other players, then we are literally playing the definition of economy servers. Diamonds are already super devalued, along with every other item that should be expensive or of higher value than it is. We need to increase their value, not decrease it more. The system has become inflated, which means money(diamonds) are losing value. If I'm allowed to use historical reference here, think of Germany's economic crisis after WW I when they printed so much money that it was superinflated and completely worthless. That's what is happening to our economy. Decreasing the value of diamonds more would make this situation worse and changing the currency to CraftyCoins and setting up economy shops is too far from what CraftyMynes is to be a good response.

@MagicalMapmaker What about CraftyCoins? Why don't we try using those as currency? Maybe we could limit the amount of person-to-person trading and create a server shop with more manageable currency.

There have been too many arguments fighting for solely person-to-person trading instead of spawn villagers that this idea would probably never go through. The farther we change the system of trading, and especially if we create a designated currency, the farther we get from vanilla. We'd be stretching into an economy system server at that point, which is not what CraftyMynes is.

I didn't say you didn't make a suggestion Dannysharks, just that more should chip in with legitimate solutions. There probably are other solutions, but people need to speak up if they want them to be heard.

If a keep inventory item were put into vanilla minecraft, it would have to be a really hard thing to find or earn. Like if it was only available by crafting 8 nether stars around an eye of ender to make an "ender star" or something like that where you could use it up and would teleport home instead of dying.

So many of you guys are simply responding "there are other ways than a reset" or something along those lines. If there are other ways, then make suggestions. We'd love to hear any ideas you have, anything that might work. Because right now, there are not many suggestions that could, at the very least, sustain the economy from getting much worse than it already is. The only suggestion I see that could help right now is removing the Jeweler Villager. That might help prevent further harm to some degree, but the majority of the damage has already been done. Please, if you have any real ideas on how to save the server, we are willing to listen.

I never got to see that day. My laptop had officially died and I had to quit minecraft for quite a while before I got another computer that could run games. By the time I managed to get back to CraftyMynes, the server had been reset for a while. I never got to see my old base that one last time before it was gone for good. :/
