@_Haxington_ It was all predicted by the Yellow One
He is the only true God of Minecraftia

"When salt is poured into the eye...
    When the world stops spinning...
    When stories are told...
    False Gods will be worshipped..."

May this prophecy illuminate you on your path to writing a server story

Good concept for maybe a minecraft book page about the propaganda of a false prophet that was quickly suppressed. :)

If there are gods(admins) then there has to be a bad god(Mojang company or whatever company causes all the problems server-wise, or maybe admins that appear to fit that role, have deserted us, or turned against us(...if there are any to speak of)) that can balance out the good v. bad or could be the innate causer of all the trouble and hackers we've ever had. And for anyone that wants to create their own version, cause old myths always had multiple version, like how the Romans had the roman version of the Greek gods, if every long time player, admin, faction leader(s), could write out what they stand for, what they've seen happen on the server, their story, and other things like that, then it would be a lot easier for people to come up with different lore and myths that are still based off accurate details of the players. And if there could be a separate thread devoted just to the origins of players and what their groups are about, fights they had with other factions, wars, assassinations, raids, and other events that deserve a place in the lore(s). That way with all the information in the same place, anyone could create their own story without having to hunt down little details over months and months of threads.

It'd be kinda cool to have a lore behind the creation of CraftyMynes, like the gods(original admins) decided on creating a world for humans to live on and the humans had to survive through battles with each other and formed divided countries(factions) while nomads(solo players) still roamed the land. It could be some epic Minecraft game of thrones story of how this place came to be what it is and how some of the common folk gained the grace of the gods and were gifted powers(mods and admins that were promoted) and charged with governing over the lands. But there were rebellions and invasions from foreign worlds(fitmc) that tried to destroy our nations, but our lords and ladies were stronger. A story of trust and betrayal, love and hatred, taking the main stories of every main player and faction leader as if they were the rulers over their specific country, making alliances or declaring all out war. It could honestly follow the actual events of what has happened in the community.

My base is several bases scattered pretty far apart, but then there's underground stuff too. If you live far enough out, any combination will probably be fine, and I mean really far out, past 60k, but not too close to the border. But if not and you just want to have an above ground base, just keep your stuff far apart from each other (like a separate base 1000 blocks apart), so if one part gets raided/griefed, the other parts might not be found and you don't lose absolutely everything, just a portion of your stuff, and you don't have to start from scratch again.

Pumpkin pies would be good for the Thanksgiving theme. For spawn egg, even though it's on your list of no's, I would argue for the Husk. It doesn't have a villager version, it's just a zombie, and it gives hunger, cause Thanksgiving is about eating a lot and not being hungry, with all the food items we get, the husk hunger effect will let us eat more! (and it's not because I want one, i actually don't want a husk, i just think the hunger effect fits into getting to eat and eat theme of the holiday) If that's still a no, then I would suggest a rabbit or chicken, and if the chicken, rename it Leftover Turkey or just Turkey, cause you always have a lot of leftover turkey after Thanksgiving. Also, in the spirit of the name, I think there should be a stack of some item, maybe paper, that just says "Thank You" or something like that so VIP+ players can give them out to people as thanks for being such a great community, or give them to staff for everything they've done. But it would have to be an item that isn't worth anything as an item, or else players would just keep them and be greedy, and that's not what Thanksgiving is about. It should be about giving, so I think there should be something VIP+'s can give to others.

My neighborhood doesn't really do trick or treating. We just hide inside and hope no one comes by. Wish I could have done either of those, but my town is not the friendliest when it comes to holidays. :/
