I explicitly said no to you in the 3rd screenshot when you said can I not say Harassment and said only if you try reference previous staff issues and try cause trouble.

@R4iscool1 @Pimpcy As I said, in my opinion as a staff member the fact that he said "Harassment doesn't exist here" was a clear reference to a recent heated conversation we had where I communicated the action in a deleted thread here about you and him. We had an argument there about whether the thread was considered harassment or not and the staff as a whole decided at the time it was not harassment and therefore would not be removed. Later on upon your request and further posts with IRL info in them it was removed.
Therefore I asked him not to say it, if it's a misunderstanding I'm sorry but I don't believe it was and I asked him to not further reference issues with staff off the forums.

@Grassling The reponse didn't solve anything. Enough players are commenting on this post that have a problem with the way staff do business that you can't deny there isn't a problem. CM is a community based server/game and if even a portion of the community is upset steps should be taken to resolve the issues people have.

So far I count 7 players, on a server which receives over a hundred a day. That's not a representative sample, as I said people with issues are the ones more likely to be vocal.
Perhaps we will have to arrange some sort of ingame poll to determine if players really believe this.
We can't bend the entire rule framework for hundreds of people because 7 people complain.

@Grassling If you were lucky enough to see my post you'd see that I mentioned the forum I created on staff communication. Instead of any true responses I was just mocked.

Post the chat logs if you wish, I never once stated that you were banned from saying harassment in chat.
I did warn you about referencing your arguments with staff in chat and that if you had an issue with us you should raise it in a thread like this.

I'll post the logs in fact to vindicate myself and clear this but screenshots would be better than my simple text logs if possible.
Just pointing out though screenshots could be staged actually with effort but yes it wouldn't be as simple as logs no.

I believe every situation will be handled with care and thought but you can't know if you don't try.
I can't see the point in making this thread saying you think staff have done wrong and cite dozens of examples but you won't explain yourself when asked.

Well I can say that is factually untrue, this is why I wanted you too explain situations as the majority of them are based on bad info or misunderstandings.
I can confirm we did have a convo with relation to harassment and certain issues on the forum as to how they are mentioned in chat but at no point was he told or made to not say the word again.

Well if it's based on this situation I expect you to reevaluate.

Personally I have alts I play on regularly if I felt I needed an alt to backup my arguments then I could use one of them but I don't and won't.

@GrandpaCarl00 Full on staff and player discussion in an open thread like this rarely happens on the forums; In my time on CM here and before the november reset I don't think I've ever seen a thread like this occuring, it's a rare phenomenon.

CM discussion isn't meant to be sending every damn complaint or opinion to crafty and whoever; I personally believe people should have a chance of openly speaking about opinions. Not sending everything in nicely-packed messages where incase something happens to the player, the opinion or complaint is hidden away for no one to lay eyes on. ( Not saying that is what happens. )

Personally, It seems like all of this is suppressing public opinion on both staff and players; Sugarcoating and romanticizing everything does not work.

These threads occur quite a lot on the forums actually, see Cephieds mega post or even just yesterday Staff and the community debating the merits of a map reset. In fact these kind of threads happen regularly.

We don't censor posts but in this case we thought it was a good idea to put an official staff response up first before releasing back to public, clearly that was a mistake since it just spiraled but we don't censor here.
Just search complaint on the forums and you will see just how many threads we have taken our time to respond too respectfully and thoughtfully about issues people have with staff.

Personally I would rather he waited till we responded and moved to general but that boat has sailed.
