Sure they could, there was certainly people in 1.8 who were more powerful than most of the factions at the time in terms of wealth and facilities.

@tsu Just gonna say the truth there will never be any good factions in the near future simply because of the lack of skilled players on the server.

Not really, there is a number of skilled players in which id like to include myself.
Having them team up is the problem.

@argonFiles The problem is that Minecraft is so over-saturated in horrible updates that I don't think I can play it. I think Minecraft's jumping up and down on the shark yelling "Look at ME i'm JUMPING ON THE SHARK xDDD" Does 1.8 have a community now? Might play that..getting bored of Reassembly.

If anyone can sort of provide a description of what's been going on, I'd appreciate it.

1.8 has some regulars, never exceeds 10 however.

I wouldnt agree either, minecraft is an evolving game as always saturation just makes things boring.
People are already looking towards 1.10

Yes nether portals pose a rather large risk.
Essentially you are doubling your footprint on the world.

Crafty doesnt like arrows in spawn since they cause problems.
So this is unlilkely to happen.

It may be that you only need to be online when its killed, to not get the credits or in the end at the time.
