Hi! While I was not online for this event, I think I have a grasp over what went down.

Practice good chat etiquette - Don’t use caps, don’t spam, don’t discuss controversial, sensitive or offensive topics (e.g. sex, sexual identity or preferences, race, politics, religion, drugs, etc.), no advertising, no links, no trolling. Please only use the minecraft font and English in global chat. Also part of chat etiquette is having an appropriately named character since your name appears on the player list and in chat. If your name is inappropriate you will be asked to change it. You will likely be banned until you do.

Moderating chat can be a tricky thing. The only thing that really works when an topic that is against the rules gets started is drawing a line in the sand and kicking anybody that says something afterwards. While I agree that you are a good player and I don't believe that you intended to go against what Venetorum said, you were the one that continued after he had said to stop.

None of our staff members are power-hungry or enjoy kicking people (it actually tends to be very unpleasant), but it is what we agreed to do when we became staff members to help keep the server running in a manner that is beneficial to all of us!

PS: Get to know Venetorum. He is actually very kind! =D

Hi! Im the administrator that banned you. My mistake with calling it flying, but as you said, it was still a hack. Here at CraftyMynes we take hacking very seriously and have a policy that we don't unban players caught hacking. I wish you the best of luck and hope you have fun on another server!

Thank you for taking the time to say that @Grinning_Bobcat and others! I know that I have been here only a short time compared to some of the other staff members and I hold great respect for all of my peers, older and newer. There are good days and there are bad days (some caused by things in-game and some caused by things irl), but the ever-growing core player group that makes up CraftyMynes keeps everything in perspective and reminds me that this is all worth it and working here is having a profoundly positive impact on my life.

I feel that the staff here takes pride in knowing that we are doing our best to create a safe environment where people of all ages can come and spend time, not just playing but getting to know others as well. Not every decision that we make will be the right one, but know that this is always our goal.

I'm so happy that I am where I am and that I get to know each of you like I do, and I know my fellow staff feels the same.
