Ty for the thought i got riches. what I need is 32 double chests of sand, gravel and terracotta each plus iron tons of iron. I also need 2 god swords the rest i got.
Unfortunately I live with depression and sometimes it takes a hold of me. I keep it to myself and only a few friends know how bad it gets.
Today is my birthday and between physical pain from a injury, pending bone surgery and the raid and life in general I am having a horrible day.
For me craftymynes was my refuge and I got pleasure from building, selling items and helping the players and server. Those that knew me all they had to do was ask and I gave freely.

As of right now craftymynes brings me no peace or refuge. I dont know what the future holds for me. I blame no one its part of the game.

I worked my ass off building the shark, my shop, the bridge, half of the tunnel the walkway to the bridge, my house and half of the oasis. breeding camels, tree farm underground, cactus farm, nether wart auto farm. Plus helping others on countless other projects. Thank you Eberk, Valgys and Friendofp for your help.

OK we are getting off track to my original question. Put simply ....what does the majority of craftymyners feel is a fair alternative amount instead of a diamond? I dont want to stop taking or replace diamonds at all. I sell alot of items and often I hear I need it but.... I am new..... or... I dont have that many diamonds.... or will you consider this item. More often than not most new players have iron, gold or other ore or item. What I had hoped for was to find out what most people thought was a fair trade instead of diamond.
As I said I have settled on 18 iron ingots to 1 diamond ratio. Not exclusively or to replace diamonds. Just if I decide to accept the offer I would like to be reasonably fair to buyer and seller. I hope this clears up any confusion.

well i id notice that now when in the end id i select spawn with the book in the end it takes me to the same place each time. In the past there was a portal at that spot now all I see is bedrock. So something definitely changed

ok why are you throwing a ender pearl thru a portal in the first place? What benefit does this bring you?

I have many uses for iron in my builds and projects.

I think I will set a rate of 18 iron ingots to 1 diamond ratio as a possible alternate payment rate.

As for Gold or other items I guess it will be like so many other trades as a case by case need basic as opposed to a straight exchange ratio.

Recently I have been pondering the trade value of single diamond. I sell a lot of items and I always list them in diamond prices. Many times behind the scenes I will make a deal for something other than diamonds depending on my current needs or trying to help a player out that is low on diamonds. Often I get asked will I take gold, iron or something else.

This got me thinking what is a fair exchange rate. So please put your 2 cents worth in so I can try to establish a fair rate for seller and buyer.

1 diamond is worth ?

Well in rarity 1 diamond to every 32 iron ore, i have heard then it should be 32 ingots for 1 diamond. I have also heard that 9 ingots to 1 is fairer due irons many uses. But lets not forget you can make an iron farm not a diamond farm. same for a gold farm.

So I am at 18 iron ingots are equal to 1 diamond and I am also thinking gold ingots should be 24 to 1 diamond.

I would love to hear others feedback and other possible trades.

I often buy, sell and trade nearly everything but a basic conversion list to reference is my hope. It needs not be iron clad because many will say And I agree its worth whatever you can get for it , or supply and demand.
