Chinese? Interesting, also how?? The bars are only one colour each, there shouldn't be any variation in colour in each bar. How did you find colour variations?

The text and picture doesn't really add anything, other than to clue you in to what to do with the deciphered text (although that should be obvious anyway).

Oh yellow one bringer of light what secrets do thy hold? Where the flame meets the sky and the sky meets the flame. Where violet flowers blossom, and where endless darkness brings you pain

@_Haxington_ 12 Because the ship floats therefore the rungs will never be submerged in water

    No flies on you eh!

@ardoasms Lets assume the guy dropping the anchor isn't an idiot and accounted for the tide

Imagine, if you will, a rope ladder hanging off the side of an anchored ship. The rungs of the ladder are half a metre apart. The tide is coming in, and rises half a metre every hour. If 12 rungs were above the water before the tide began to rise, how many will be above the water after 5 hours?

At first what you seek may not be clear but as you advance you will get near.
Forever we question what may be true but in the end we are never sure.
What then does this enigma mean? Is it all just one big scheme?
Followers of gods heed my warning; your end goal may not lead you to morning.

@_Haxington_ The Caesar cipher wasn't the problem, but without some hint as to the initial settings for the enigma it's damn near impossible. Is there some indication of these I've missed?

@Dannysharks From your birth you go against her wishes

I immediately took this to mean "head towards negative x from spawn".
In other words, I went west like a big dummy.

Is the first part referring to the sun/moon?
