If I could pick 3 I'd be iron, gold, or diamond ore since I've mined a stupid amount of all 3 on CM. However, if I had to pick only one I'd have to go with iron ore. I took this screenshot yesterday of my stats for the last map:

65,800 iron ore = over 114 stacks of iron blocks

Actually, lava and red stone have nothing to do with where diamonds spawn, although it is a common myth. Just because lava red stone and diamonds all spawn at low Y levels doesn't mean diamond ore generates closer to red stone ore or lava pockets

No that's perfectly fine, as is the offhand torch lighting with optifine. Honestly I can't mine anymore without the offhand torch lighting, I've become so reliant on it the last few months
