I'm working on a way to afk grind shulker shells (most likely using wolves). If I find a decent way I'll probably end up using my shulker egg to get chests of shells to sell dirt cheap. Don't want people to be left out if they don't want to travel thousands of blocks in the end to find shulkers :)

According to the wiki, there is a 72.9% chance of a zombie being spawned with a full set of armor, and there is a 0.04% chance of that material being diamond

rnc did mention that he took the design from somebody on the server, but he couldn't remember who :P

For those who haven't been on, last night rnc2011 hid a tardis around spawn, with the only hint being that it was reachable by a normal player, and that it was no further from 0,0 than the admin house (about 150 blocks away). It took a long time to find, but myself and everyone else participating had a blast looking around spawn. Tonight, rnc hid a total of 3 more under the same rules and each time a big search party scoured spawn until each one was found. The last two nights have been just about my favorite two nights on the server because of these hunts, so a big thank you to rnc2011 for doing this for us, as well as wblaine128 and CovertRaw for helping provide prizes to the winners, as well as everyone who took part. These type of events are the kind of thing that keeps me playing on CraftyMynes :D

I highly doubt it, they probably won't reset unless an update changes how the command blocks work or massively changes terrain generation

Green tiles were added to help balance the roulette. If the guardian lands on green the player loses regardless of which color they bet on

Not sure why this thread got revived, but I'll answer your questions:
The left pressure plate is on a piece of black wool, and if the guardian lands on black it pays 3:1. The right pressure plate is on red wool which pays 5:1. Looking at some of my old data the red bet currently has an expected value of .994:1 (very slightly favored toward the casino) and the black bet currently has en expected value of 1.129 (slightly favored toward the player)

my tools are all named (loosely) after stars:

shovel : beta centauri (technically the name should be alpha centauri B, but that's not as elegant)
