I've always been interested in physics and astronomy, and i read about cepheid variable stars in an astronomy book about 10 years ago. I thought the story of their discovery and the word "cepheid" itself was memorable enough that I used it in various passwords for a few years before adopting it into a username. Also, all of my tools with the exception of my swords/bows are named after (or pseudo named after) nearby stars (alpha centauri, proxima centauri, sirius, etc.)

If the fox is left alone with the chicken, the fox will eat the chicken. If the chicken is left alone with the grain, the chicken will eat the grain. How can the farmer cross the river without any of his possessions being eaten?

Since the census taker was not able to figure out the ages even knowing the sum, then the sum must be 14 since there are 2 combinations that add to 14 (3,3,8) and (2,6,6). Finally, indicating that the oldest loves chocolate means that there's one oldest child, so the ages of the children are 3, 3, and 8
