@R4iscool1 We have focused on wealth for this but its sort of impossible to define.
Well anyone can be wealthy. Danny for instance.
@R4iscool1 It was an unrealistic scenario in response to another unrealistic scenario.
Your whole argument hinges on the assumption "It wont happen".
Which is unqualfied, A single player can easily build a bigger and more efficient farm than a faction that can outdo multiple players.I dont understand what the issue is with the idea that a player can > Faction
How exactly are you defining powerful?
@Sofatroll This entity clear is really a pain in the ass. Of course there is a 1min warning but sometimes people cant decide when they die, for example, like 1 week ago I was blown off a cliff by a creeper and died with a full god armor and tool set, it was next to my home so it wouldn't have been a problem getting it back BUT THEN, the lag clear appeared and my stuff was gone. I didnt complain because I had no evidence proving that I really lost a god set. Anyway, I think I might be not the only one. Something has to change. Maybe a warning 5 min before the clear up? Maybe a serverplz command that shows the next shedule? idk but the current situation sucks
What you should do in such a case is log.. if there is no one else around then the chunk won't be loaded and the ground items will remain.
@Andureil ''Caw.'' - DunmerRaven
Yes! Finally xD
@BoneChi11er I believe the unrecognizeble 10 would be more powerful,
- More people
- Due to being unknown, infiltrations become easier.
There are cons however,
Recruitment is a challenge since your not well known.
Fair enough, How about we change the conditions.
So that group A is very well organised, group B are really badly organised and group C are in between.
All other conditions remain the same, and they are all known the same on the server.
Which would you think would be the most powerful?
@FishW Ahh an interesting question. I did not include a "fame" variable in my thoughts. This is very thought provoking. Thanks for asking! May I ask for more details on the players, if you want me to answer with just the given I can, but I would prefer to know the following.
For referance group A is the group of 10 unknowns, while Group B is the 3 regs.1. Are group A and group B players on the same amount of time, ie each player is on for 3 hours a day.
Lets say that everything about the two groups are the same, except for how well they are known on the server.
And for a third option as a control, lets say group C who have 5 members and are moderately well known but still the same in all other aspects.
@FishW As i stated previously i think power should be judged on a player:item ratio. Meaning even though there may be more people in a faction do they really have more items(player:item). That makes sense to me im not sure about you guys.
Well, Who do you think is more powerful,The faction with 10 people yet are almost never heard from, or the faction with 3 people who are regonised by nearly everyone?
Well, I happen to remember one incident a while back, I don't know the full details but it ended up being a case of Oofla pissing off Sovietsuperman.
Needless to see what I remember is it turning into a manhunt in some mines with Oofla hiding and attack and soviet inviting a bunch of people in to kill him.
I was on ts at the time and I can remember @afritz9500 laughing at the whole thing. I also remember tping in later on and somehow missing the action xD
@thegoldsmith yes bragging rights and potentially people to help you crush your enemies underfoot or just to trade you a load of stuff.
I dislike bragging. Immencely and especially when it's unfounded, Nor would I want to be used in such a fashion.
@_Haxington_ We have about 10 active players right now lol
I am in charge of the "advertising", so it may seem like it is only me.
Plus we have about 6 allied factions.
I don't think allied factions matter much. For instance, We're allied yet that means little other than seeming bragging rights.
