Yeah the plots would be a donating perk, and the way to avoid having people store items in the plot area would be have no echests in that area. If they aren't in there no one can access their echest.

I like this idea personally, it'd be like a show off area for things you want to build. If inventory for each player would be cleared upon entering having a set of buttons along a wall with different types of item so people aren't strapped for resources would be good. So only items that are in the area can be used with nothing going in or out. Could see some incredible bases go up that you would know could not be griefed.
