If I upgrade to VIP+, will I have the new color for just one month, or does the one month thing only pertain to the other perks?

VIP+ lasts for a month then you revert back to VIP and such go back to just regular VIP perks.
Hope that answers the question :) -
The colors are tied to the ranks so once your vip+ runs out you go back to green for reg vip
