@GrinningBobcat DO you have a back-up plan?

Nobody possesses the knowledge to run CraftyMynes and it's systems, I don't have the time to teach anyone. If I were to disappear, CraftyMynes would have to be transplanted into a new system as a standalone map (no AI, no manager, none of the cool stuff and integrations like head drops) Also, someone would need to learn all of CraftyMynes command block systems. I feel like the most likely thing to happen in my disappearance is the map would be reset and the community would be transplanted to another server.

Sadly CraftyMyner is a big part of CraftyMynes and without the Myner, all you have some guy cracking Crafty jokes all day.

Dear CraftyMynes Community,

With deep regret, I am sorry to say, CraftyMynes will be shutting down. For the past 2.5 years, I have spent almost every waking hour working on CraftyMynes to make it the best I can, and I feel that most can agree that it shows. We went from 0 staff and 0 players to 30 staff and just over 1/4 million players.

Coming April 12th I will be finishing my schooling and need to start thinking about my future. While the last 2.5 years have been a fun ride filled with good and bad times, I must move on. I just don't have the time to manage all the components that make the server as great as it is anymore.

I know you guys will have many and I will try to answer them all the best of my abilities.

When is the server being shut down? - At the end of April, I will not be renewing the servers and they will be taken offline.

Why not transfer ownership? - CraftyMynes is a very complicated system and I don't have the time to teach someone how to run it to the same standards that I hold myself to.

Can I get a copy of my base or the map? - I won't be giving out bases as it is too time-consuming, I don't know if I am going to allow downloading of the map yet.

To all my players, I can't thank you enough for being a part of my life, whether you kept me up all night on the TeamSpeak or greeted me with open arms when I join the server. To my staff, I hope you guys can all find a server half as good as CraftyMynes, I know you guys will all do great wherever you land.

@Tez1010 While we are on the subject of pets is there any reason blazes and wither skellies aren't on the list? If they are no AI they wouldn't be an issue would they?

Maybe they got missed, wither heads are not on the list for obvious reasons, I think they just got missed.

@TimmyBoyT Can I collect the pets later once I find a place for my perminant home? I just don't want to lose the pets because I waited too long to claim them. If the offer will expire soon I'll just build a quick shrine for them.

You can claim them anytime.

@TimmyBoyT I went with the 1/4 bill VIP+ I think I read that it includes some mob heads and pets. Is that still true? Will I still be able to claim those gifts if my initial donation expires? I plan to renew anyway. Would a follow on 1/4 bill include 2 more heads and pets?

Each purchase of a 1/4 Bill gets you 2 pets and 2 mob heads. Just let me or an admin know next time you are ingame and we can get you your pets.

@TimmyBoyT Surprised you would enter the lottery because of likely perception of conflict of interest, disappointed that the remedy was to drop the winnings at spawn where it's likely some that benefited weren't even stakeholders. I feel confident that you didn't cheat, still I find the outcome disappointing. I guess I was looking forward to winning or congratulating one of my peers. I'm sure you got a lot of pushback and I didn't want to add to the drama (but since you asked) :P

When I entered, I was only testing to see if the system was working (giving out and limiting tickets) I never thought I would have won.
