@CraftyMyner, I have seen the message that Crewman has put in the Discord server which I am banned from (big surprise) and I am asking you, BEGGING YOU, to give him the power to do what he needs. Tez, Dennari, CommanderCat, and all other staff have repeatedly shown that they cannot and will not work towards bettering the server.

The current staff team makes no effort to actually do anything. Player counts have stagnated and dropped. There have been no donations since July. And all of this has happened since Dawn stepped down and Tez took over. Had someone competent been there to take the reigns, maybe things could have been different.

They play favorites. They circlejerk each other with reactions and updoots. They believe they can do no wrong. They think that the shit coming from their mouths and keyboards should be treated as gospel. They are upholding the status quo of this downwards death spiral, and they are proud of it. They have created and cultivated a toxic culture of power. All they are are lazy, power-tripping bureaucrats that don't like when they are challenged.

I know that you've always thought of this server as a passion. I also share in that feeling. I first joined the server back in 2015, far before most staff members had joined. I've seen a vast majority of the server history, and even participated in it. Playing on the server during that time gave me some of the best memories of my life. The spirit of the CraftyMynes I know from back then is a withered husk of itself. No one can banter anymore. No one can speak ill of the state of the server anymore.

Jard, Baron, and iwarriiori have all been banned from the Discord today, yet if you ask your staff, they will not give you a good enough reason as to why. Dawn and I have been banned for a while, yet they could not give you a good enough reason either. You might get "Another toxic post from someone who doesn't play on the server." or something to that effect.

There is no CraftyCrate for this month (which you've specifically been blamed for btw), there was no Halloween maze, there was no server birthday announcement (do Tez and co. even know the birthday?), and Tez is actually planning a FULL SERVER RESET for an update that adds LITERALLY NO TERRAIN GENERATION CHANGES. They have NO PLAN WHATSOEVER to improve the server. Go ahead and ask them. In fact, ask them what they've done in the last few months as members of staff, and I bet you will be disappointed with their answers.

I know that you know that if things aren't changed, the server will continue to be a drain on your finances until eventually it is shut down. We have one last hope, and that is Crewman06. The only one of your staff (formerly) who I and many others believe actually understands and gives a shit as to what is transpiring. Please give him the opportunity to reverse course. You guys cannot rebut what I've said here. You claim that we are the problem, yet you can't even provide any legitimate reasons or proof for our bans. You've all just tried to silence and get rid of those that you personally didn't like. You used your power in all of the wrong places instead of trying to revive the community. I hope that if Crewman is given the power he asks for, he removes all of you and replaces you with staff that are actually competent and care about the community. Go ahead and try to silence me on the forums too, if you want. I have a copy of this message, I will be archiving this specific forum post, and if it does end up disappearing mysteriously, I will DM everything to Crafty and it will only serve to prove my point further. I am no longer just praying on your downfall, I will be directly involved.

there's actually a bit more than "a few things" but i'll try to keep it concise. server stability, arbitrary rules, stubborn staff when it comes to decision-making (it shouldn't take months for "active" staff to come to an agreement on something), and unfair treatment of players would be the bulk of it all.

honestly, i could go through every issue the server is facing, come up with solutions to all of them, hand the directions to the current staff, and nothing would happen. they'd rather suggest that there are no issues, and player counts have dwindled because "it's not summer yet" or "people are just busy" rather than acknowledge that problems currently exist.

I remember the days this server always had at least 7-8 players on during off-hours, then peak was like 30. There was always discussion going on on the forums and the discord, but now both have just as much activity as the server itself. Craftymynes is not what it used to be. It's sad too, because if just a few things were done differently, there would be a lot more players in the community playing and having fun like the good old days.

Another AWESOME renovation! Love the before and after photos. So tasteful and artistic. Glad to see these services still being offered! Cannot wait for the next one.

Reason for unban: Staff has gone soft on crime

@ThePhoenix is a player with a colorful past on the server, causing many disruptions and upsets throughout his time on CraftyMynes. He is guilty of the following:

• Griefing the server parkour by spawning a nether portal inside it
• Making sexist remarks in the Discord server (This elevated his ban status to permanent)
• Disrespecting staff's decisions when it comes to rule enforcement
• Bullying players
• Using incredibly racist language in his public Discord server
• Cheating by use of an unapproved mod

Not only do I find his behavior disgusting and reprehensible, but I find it utterly jarring that staff could overlook such transgressions and allow him onto the server. There was a time where even if you accidentally logged on using a banned mod, you were permabanned without exception. Now, times have changed, and there have been unbans based on players actually logging in with mods accidentally because of the decision on this guy. However, ThePhoenix admitted to using a mod despite it being a banned mod. Now, I've been a player on CM for a very long time, and to me this seems like a very clear cut case where the appeal should be denied, but for whatever reason, wasn't.

At least in Birdfrock's case, the decision was based on intent rather than outcome, and to be fair to staff, when the decision was made they retroactively applied the same ruling to other similar cases (and to play my own Devil's advocate, didn't apply it in others ).

I also find it incredibly interesting that ThePhoenix was unbanned after this debacle without any transparency for the players, in which the standard is that ban appeals are publicly viewable on the forums for accountability purposes. Then, following the resignation of certain administrative members, ThePhoenix was allowed back into the Discord despite being permanently banned. And now, we have the current situation.

This now begs the question, what precedent will be set by unbanning ThePhoenix?
Will NE0GE0 be unbanned as well?
Will other cheaters be unbanned as well?
If they won't be unbanned, why not?
Is ThePhoenix's case different from the others? If so, how?
Are the staff actually just playing favorites when it comes to unbans?
Will the rules be applied fairly and equally to all players on CraftyMynes?

I formally call for the re-banning of ThePhoenix, or for the staff that voted in favor of overturning his ban to publicly apologize to the entirety of the server, and unban other cheaters who also promised to "never do it again."
