A little riddle, if you'd be so kind to solve it.

  1. 7 years ago

    "|Eight_Three|Three_Three|Eight_One|Eight_One|Nineteen_Five|Nine_Two|One_Two|Eight_Three|Six_One|, |Seven_One|One-Thousand_Nine|Five_Three|One-Thousand_Nine|Eight_Three|Nine_Four|Six_One|!"

I'll see if anyone can decipher this. You'll need some serious puzzle solving skills to get this. Don't bother looking it up, I made this up on the spot. It's a quote from one of my favorite characters in a game. Also, the winner get's nothing. This is just for fun.

  2. Can i ask if this is a form of substitution cipher?

  3. @PlesleronTepryos Can i ask if this is a form of substitution cipher?

I've never heard of that, explain.

  4. Sigh... I will look into it later... :)

  5. |Eight_Three|Three_Three|Eight_One|Eight_One|Nineteen_Five|Nine_Two|One_Two|Eight_Three|Six_One|, |Seven_One|One-Thousand_Nine|Five_Three|One-Thousand_Nine|Eight_Three|Nine_Four|Six_One|!

    8_3 3_3 8_1 8_1 19_5 9_2 1_2 8_3 6_1 7_1 1000_9 5_3 1000_9 8_3 9_4 6_1

    83 33 81 81 195 92 12 83 61 71 10009 53 10009 83 94 61

    8 3 3 3 8 1 8 1 19 5 9 2 1 2 8 3 6 1 7 1 1000 9 5 3 1000 9 8 3 9 4 6 1

    11 6 9 9 24 11 3 11 7 8 1009 8 1009 11 13 7

What kind of cipher are you using exactly? This makes no sense... Does each number represent a word?

  6. That can't be the case either because some of the numbers just repeat and they would not make sense if they represented words...

  7. 83 x 3
    33 x 1
    81 x 2
    195 x 1
    92 x 1
    12 x 1
    61 x 2
    71 x 1
    10009 x 2
    53 x 1
    94 x 1

  8. @_Haxington_ That can't be the case either because some of the numbers just repeat and they would not make sense if they represented words...

Each thing between a | is a letter, looking closely at what's between each | is what will solve it.

Is it ASCII code for binary letters?

    Wait wrong account

  10. Here we go kek

  11. @The_Green_Gamer Is it ASCII code for binary letters?

No, I made this up by myself. Look closely at the first number, then the second.

  12. I really want to give a hint, but it'll be obvious then...

  13. It could literally be anything man... There is not enough information.

  14. |Eight_Three 8 3
    |Three_Three 3 3
    |Eight_One 8 1
    |Eight_One 8 1
    |Nineteen_Five 19 5
    |Nine_Two 9 2
    |One_Two 1 2
    |Eight_Three 8 3
    |Six_One| 6 1

    , Space ?

    |Seven_One 7 1
    |One-Thousand_Nine 1000 9
    |Five_Three 5 3
    |One-Thousand_Nine 1000 9
    |Eight_Three 8 3
    |Nine_Four 9 4
    |Six_One| 6 1

    !

  15. It took 301 years to decipher the Vigneré Cipher, and they had some background to it. Without any info it could be anything.

  17. The first word (the one behind the _) is what you use as a template, the second word (the one after the _) is how many times you count on the first word. I know this may be too obvious, but I can't think of any other way to explain.

  18. @AlienArtifact56 (the one behind the _)

    You mean this one?

    Eight

  19. @_Haxington_ You mean this one?

    Eight

Any word behind the _ is used as a template for the word after the _.

  20. Nice, the One-thousand really threw me off but it makes sense now :) I would have been even more confused if you'd used a word with p in!

Now I'm curious what the quote is from...
