A little riddle, if you'd be so kind to solve it.

  1. 9 years ago

    "|Eight_Three|Three_Three|Eight_One|Eight_One|Nineteen_Five|Nine_Two|One_Two|Eight_Three|Six_One|, |Seven_One|One-Thousand_Nine|Five_Three|One-Thousand_Nine|Eight_Three|Nine_Four|Six_One|!"

I'll see if anyone can decipher this. You'll need some serious puzzle solving skills to get this. Don't bother looking it up, I made this up on the spot. It's a quote from one of my favorite characters in a game. Also, the winner get's nothing. This is just for fun.

  2. Can i ask if this is a form of substitution cipher?

  3. @PlesleronTepryos Can i ask if this is a form of substitution cipher?

I've never heard of that, explain.

  8. @_Haxington_ That can't be the case either because some of the numbers just repeat and they would not make sense if they represented words...

Each thing between a | is a letter, looking closely at what's between each | is what will solve it.

Is it ASCII code for binary letters?

  10. Here we go kek

  11. @The_Green_Gamer Is it ASCII code for binary letters?

No, I made this up by myself. Look closely at the first number, then the second.

  12. I really want to give a hint, but it'll be obvious then...

  15. It took 301 years to decipher the Vigneré Cipher, and they had some background to it. Without any info it could be anything.

  17. The first word (the one behind the _) is what you use as a template, the second word (the one after the _) is how many times you count on the first word. I know this may be too obvious, but I can't think of any other way to explain.

  19. @_Haxington_ You mean this one?

    Eight

Any word behind the _ is used as a template for the word after the _.

  20. Nice, the One-thousand really threw me off but it makes sense now :) I would have been even more confused if you'd used a word with p in!

Now I'm curious what the quote is from...
