Can't actually connect, also timed out and it just says "Pinging..." forever

Ive been experiencing some major problems when I played on the 1.8.9 server.
When I joined in, I spawned in with the diamond armor decoration at spawn. I managed to get out but the lag has gotten so bad, its unplayable. Every now and then, i just sink right through the ground before popping back up. And of course the constant disconnection's. Plz fix it or kill it. -
i guess optifine is taking care of some lag at least for me
