I donated on this server before and after the 1.8 update with the name change. I changed my name and lost the vip rank. Can I show proof of purchase and get it back. Recent name was Zezima_Zamorak

Its not a doantion problem.
VIP status is tied to the in-game name in use at the time of the contribution. Players who change their name will lose their VIP rank and will need to contribute again under the new in-game name in order to regain their VIP rank.
that is how it is, and no, we will not give you rank back after a name change, even with proof of purchase.

Since the rank is tied to my other name. If I were to change it back will I still have the rank. Since that name is in your data base

Yes changing your name back should get you the rank back as well.
