I want to make a squid farm, but living in a desert, I don't know how it would work. Does anyone have any designs that are cost effective and simple?

They don't work on the server, it's kind of like how end grinders work, you can't be 128 blocks near water and if someone is in an ocean, it won't work because they will hog the spawns.

Oh okay, I just make a pit of water on top of signs in the middle of nowhere and just let them die by their stupidity.

@TheBlizWiz when i tried, the spawn rates in literally every other part of the map rendered my farm 100% useless.
