kanethemoose scammed 18 diamond trade for 'Mending' book but instead gave me a standard server book, then promptly logged out
May I get my 18 diamonds reimbursed since this player logged out?

kanethemoose came back online but still not responding to anything,
Trade took place in trade post, 18 diamonds for mending book, serverbook (fake) given instead
_TMK_ was scammed as well:
Can you maybe send a piece of your logs?
How do I send the logs?
Do you have the part where he leaves?
Very frustrating to spend over an hour pasting images of screenshots, text logs, everything when Staff members were very quick to punish and deal with scammers on the older server...
It is because its hard to prove sometimes and I heard it didn't say "no scamming" in the trading post. But I will give him a ban of 3 days when he appeals.
Okay thanks, I just banned him.
Mods/Admins were very quick on the old server to force a scammer to refund items form trade post in 1.8.
Very disappointing tonight. Since I was told I won't get the 18 diamonds back, it's pointless for me to put anymore time into this. Basically it's a good message to scammers that they can trade diamonds for fake server books since they can get away with it.
I'm done with the issue......
Well where there any mods/admins on?
(Scarlosis was online, didn't really bother)
Hm well I can give you some items of my own unless I you can get a refund from higher ups. I'll ask for a refund.
@Atheod What did you have? Perhaps I can refund you?
These guys were bragging that "no scamming" wasn't in the rules. They stayed online for awhile talking about it. Hope to see them punished.
If the player doesn't return the items he will keep getting temp banned.
Thank you for following-up on this issue, staff.
I will expect the 18 diamonds back from kanethemoose this week and respond after receiving them, thus solving the matter.
And thank you, soviet, for the offer. It's not a big deal, just the fact of the matter is important to discourage others from scamming and being victimized.
I had something almost exactly like this happen to me once. The enchanted books have a slightly different texture than the written books. The person kept telling me it was an enchanted book, and I was like no it's clearly a guild book. Eventually I left in frustration.
