    verify where its downloading it to after the download go back to that folder and click on it not the shortcut on the desktop, that might be a remnant of the old copy

  8. lol so I click on the launcher in the folder?

  9. hopefully you have one that says this Minecraftinstaller.msi , what do the folders say you have?

  10. No, sadly. In the folder there's only a file named "MinecraftLauncher" and "nativelog", that's it

  11. XD

  12. select launcher

  13. When I did a small window appeared saying "Downloading native launcher" and then a couple seconds later it says "Unable to update native launcher" in a separate small window

  15. It restarted again after I opened it a second time D:

  16. I am so confused, when i click download it reads file name Minecraftinstaller.msi and save as type windows installer package. I have no idea why its downloading different for you with 2 folders

  17. I guess i'm just unlucky ;-;
    I mourn for the day to play Minecraft again

  18. so it started the install or restarted your computer?

  19. It restarts the install every single time

  20. its gotta be a duplicate or partial file left somewhere, i might be able to walk you thru it via phone , i have windows 10 and we could go click by click to try and figure this out, i sent a private message

  21. Before that why don't you try a custom launcher.
