Question for Crafty really.
LifeLongStew7 brought a friend on to the 1.9 server and they wanted to random TP together. They both got random TP'd but to different places. We reproduced it 3 times. Never seen that before - I have random TP'd with Stew a gzillion times. I thought it might be because his friend is not a VIP but Venetorem did not think that was the case?
Yes, VIP/VIP+ has a different tp that allows then to not have a timeout and give them 15k, rather then 10k. Due to the way spreadplayers works (setting respect teams=true) it is not possible to get 2 separate spread player commands to tp the players to the same place. The best way to accomplish this is use TPA to bring the players to each other. That's the reason we don't emphasize buddy random tp, you can accomplish it after the fact.

Also lately when I take the random tp it tps me under blocks and I suffocate :(
That has to do with mojang and lag, you should have resistance for a bit after leaving spawn...
Yeah, I never die from the suffocation. But it's pretty annoying.
I actually had to be saved by Apoc because I was using the random tp to get close to a set of cords after visiting an Ocean Monument, buggers had their laugh putting mining fatigue on me making me get stuck. It doesn't tear up your armor, and (in nearly any case besides mine) you have ample time to dig your way out since its dirt you get stuck in because of the resistance.
KrumEater and I were just standing close to a random tp pad (about the quartz border) when a player ran up on it and we got tped, thankfully not anywhere around the person that hit the pad.
When the 1.9 server started, the random TP would teleport multiple players to the same random location. I'm confused why this has changed.
I changed it so VIP/VIP+ gets 15k random tp, to make up for the lack of directional tp.
would it be possible to have all set to the range of the lower of the people on the tp like taking vip for a split second or something like that? then it would technically put both in same spot or would that not work due to too much work to code via cmd block or not possible to code to work like that?
