I think nobody can tell which faction is the most powerfull, since there are no statistics or other public informations about factions, there isnt even a list of all factions. It also depends from what it needs to be "powerfull". Many members? wealth? The ammount bases or the ammount of raided bases?
Almost every faction will claim that it is the most powerfull one, depending from their own definition of power.

We should start faction statistics for the server

So we can compare factions

Team Eye raided us...? Nope, I don't think so.

We also do not measure our success on how many bases we have raided.

We prefer to create bases rather than destroy them.

How about we tell Crafty to set up an official command block device with stats for each faction.

Crafty would have to input each faction manually. Maybe we could have a faction request forum where we post our faction name and then Crafty or another Admin puts that into the system.

It could be something like "serverplz my faction stats" or "serverplz faction list"

And there could be a faction center or faction building where we go and invest money into our faction by placing emeralds or diamonds in hoppers. This would add wealth to the faction, which would then appear when you say the command.

That would be adding factions though, Even with the command blocks wouldn't you think itd take away from the vanilla survival experience? We always say we have unofficial factions on the forums, so maybe set a faction statistics thread, but id feel like that would be making official factions, making us a vanilla faction server of sorts, if that is even possible

I know this server is trying to stick with the vanilla theme, but what about tpa?, what about warps?, what about vip and vip+? Those are all non vanilla features which were added to make the experience more enjoyable, and since they were added, I have not seen anyone complaining that it is too "non-vanilla"

Its not that hax, its that as a category of servers, it may shift from vanilla survival to vanilla factions. Thats just my two cents anyways, i wouldn't agree with you here

The most powerful faction. Interesting, Well you'd need to consider it on quite a few different levels.
In terms of buildings, My guess would be Harvester.
In terms of assholeyness, Team Eye (If they could even be considered a faction)
In terms of activity, Well I don't have a clue.
In terms of publicity, Who is the most well know, I'd probably say the Red Army in the period it was running and maybe Harvester after that.

Of course, I could claim to be the most powerful faction, Anyone could in that regard.

I have an idea. I am a big fan of factions since I am leader of the Strangers Company. But I also think that it would be wrong to work with command blocks, changing this server in a faction one. Factions exist because we have such a great community, and I think that it's the community's job to care about statistics, publicity etc. So here comes my Idea: I offer myself to create a special thread for ALL factions. I create a simple template and faction leaders can post all informations about their faction below. If the faction iformation isnt up-to-date anymore, fac leaders can simply edit and update the infos. All I would ask staff for is to keep the thread clean from non relevant posts.

You should probably type it up in something like Microsoft word so that you can type without care for most spelling and grammar mistakes. Spellcheck and all.

In terms of power however, Wouldn't a faction require to be active in order to be able to be judged?
(It might be just me, But I'm sure Apathy aren't active)

As for us Ravens, We currently have no ranks, No system of decisions, Everything is to be planned and improvised to as it comes, to be flexible and to eventually set up a system.

I think it's impossible to determine which faction is "the best one". As all of the factions tend to focus on different ideas and aspects of the game. My faction and SC are usually builders at heart, while Team eye may focus on raiding and pvp. In the end, it just comes down to what you prefer out of a faction.
