The original post by Logan brings up excellent points and addresses some concerns I myself had. The rest of the posts (including mine) are slowly deteriorating into chaos. Most players will agree that we all had high expectations of the casino that were most likely unreasonable or straight up impossible. In conclusion, let's all have reasonable arguments and try to enjoy ourselves. This is a game after all.

The collectables are rare items they aren't supposed to be easy to get or for the majority of players to be able to grind quickly.
It would defeat much of the purpose of them if they were not. -

Compelling points but no one wants to travel a 50k blocks just to meet up with a friend, It kinda tethers people in parties together rather than coordination which is always bound to be bad at some point

I think everyone on this server, including me, is spoiled by how amazing everything is... so when they see something they're not a huge fan of they throw a fit.
Also, before you post a rage post, remember it's impossible to please everyone, especially with so many players, so many opinions and so much diversity.

From what I've heard in chat in game and read on these posts, I'm far more disappointed in the players than the casino. Personally, I love the casino, even with them making it more difficult and balanced. When I first found this server, I came on expecting an ordinary vanilla survival experience, but what I got was a thousand times better. I found a community that cares about each other and a place where I could have some of the most fun I had all summer, and it really has been some of the most fun I ever had being on this server. In concern with the expectation of the casino, yes, I hyped it myself and had high hopes for what it would be and waited eagerly to see its release. When it was nerfed, I was a bit upset, but then again, it was for the best. How boring would it be if everyone just hung around the casino all day grinding for prizes and not surviving and building the way vanilla survival is meant to be played? Besides this, my point is that the admins did a wonderful job and we should be thanking them for everything they have done, not criticizing them for not pampering us like spoiled children. So maybe, in my opinion, we should try and be a little less critical and get back to being the ridiculously nice community I remember us being. And to all the admin, whether you worked on the casino or not, I just want to say Thank You for everything you have been to the server and giving us one of the best possible minecraft experiences out there.

Personally, after not playing for several months, I think that the casino is a great new addition, however it could use a tune up. For starters, we need a better way to prevent anyone taking voter's prizes with the use of invisibility potions. Second, maybe some signs for newer players. Finally, while this may be an impractical idea, my favorite thing in any game is opening crates, and winning a key to a crate with a random prize would make my day.
Just opinions but overall I appreciate the casino and wanna say thanks to Crafty, the mods/admins and all the contributors for working so hard for this new feature! -
