Help me build a pc

  1. 7 years ago

Hey guys, so I'm looking forward to building a decent pc at a somewhat reasonable price. It'd be great if you guys could help me out with telling me about the parts and pricing as for I have minimal knowledge about computers. Right now im running on a laptop that gives me an unstable 20 fps on minecraft. Help me out here. If you guys could list a build here it'd be great.

It really depends how much you want to spend, it's hard to give an estimation without a price range.
That way we can guide you to appropriate parts or or good builds.
To run solely Minecraft well, you could get one relatively cheap for about 250$. Wouldn't do a whole lot more but it'd work.

Im thinking about spending max 800 dollars (monitor not included)

  4. This is a pretty solid rig for that range which would definitely run Minecraft to the max.
You could spend a bit more and get a slightly better GPu if you want more power for AAA titles like the new watchdogs 2 on high. https://pcpartpicker.com/b/YxZ8TW#partlist

Great but how much would it be with a decent OS?

If you don't have a licence to transfer from an old pc.
You can get Microsoft Windows 10 home for about 120$ legit, you can get Oem versions for 90$ but it'll be locked to your PC and no phone support.
You can also get the keys much much cheaper if you trust resellers.
You can also get most Linux variants for free if you are willing.

Probaly can cheap out with 8GB of ram but otherwise a very solid pc. Also you can go for the AMD RX480 and bet for the future with DirectX 12 and Vulkan but this can be an expensive guess.
