    what are all those markers?

  6. Thats how banners show up on maps

  7. Damn, I started to work on a map myself, but not with this piece of art!

Are you willing to give out or sell some copies of this? Could be super useful.

I thought about it. The thing giving out maps is that if two people have copies of the same map, they'll be able to locate each other if they're in the area. I don't really wanna make exploring the wilds even more dangerous.

  9. @Venetorem Thats how banners show up on maps

I'm just wondering what all those banners are meant to represent :D I hope its all the goodies Despicable left behind for us to grab :D

  10. My guess was that they were banners left at .wild bases

  11. Very impressive!

  12. @rnc2011 Very impressive!

    Thank you Richard!

@Venetorem My guess was that they were banners left at .wild bases

Yes, those were left at locations I found interesting. Mostly ruined castles and quaint cottages.

  13. Here are all of the maps zoomed in for anyone who's curious. The text on the banners gets smaller the more you type, so I tried to keep most of the names descriptive, but with some I just used random names. The white and yellow banners don't mean anything special, I just had some extra wool. Most of them are structures I found interesting, but some of them are just villages.

    Here's the whole map:

There are 36 maps, each about 2000m by 2000m. The northwest corner of map A1 is (-6000, -6000).

  14. The dedication to make and label this map, and go through the image upload process? Bravo. Super well done :D

Thanks ryan! Exploring is one of my favourite things to do in minecraft!

  16. The zoomed-in version is very cool, I was wanting a higher-resolution one.

I see your point that players could find each other, but risk-reward you know? You get a benefit, but you run the risk of getting ambushed. Plus both the ambusher and ambushee would know each other's locations.

If you make a copy of a copy, is the secondary copy linked with the original?

Yes, if you copy a map, both the original and the copy share the same number and always have the same display.

As for the risk, a friend of mine has some of the maps and I don't want him getting ambushed.
